There has been an upsurge in herdsmen kidnappings in Enugu over the last few days. This is coming after Enugu residents complained of helicopters dropping northerners in the hills surrounding the city.. The Nsukka to Enugu part of the state is basically under lockdown. Folks that travelled down to the villa can't come out. Even students returning back to UNN are being kidnapped.. Unfortunately, crime reigned on the road, hence kidnapping by suspected Fulani herdsmen and other violent crimes have been taking place along the Ugwuogo-Opi-Nsukka road as well as the Ugwuogo-Neke-Ikem road. Despite security checkpoints along the roads, the spate of crime increased on the roads.

kettykin: Based on the report, In some instances, the kidnappers actually received their ransoms infront of soldiers who were stationed just a few steps away at their checkpoints along that road! And this all started after the appointment of the new GOC, who used to be the man in command at Kaduna while Kaduna was boiling! Do your maths.... 13 Likes |

owobokiri:based on what that GOC did in kaduna in kidnapping and bloodshed I believe he will have hundreds of billions from kidnapping in his bank account because immediately they removed him, kaduna started getting calmer. Imagine the number of houses he will have from blood money and nobody is even bothered to probe 9 Likes 1 Share |

It's very annoying what's going on....not just in the south-east, but all other regions in the south and middle-belt! Anyone who by now doesn't acknowledge the complicity of the evil Buhari gov't in the high spate of insecurity in the south-east region (and i mean complicity of both actors holding positions within the federal gov't as well as the hegemony that feeds off of the gov't), is either naive and too trusting or is part of the setup itself! What's even more annoying is how NONE of our political elite in/from the south-east has called out these murderous scoundrels that have infiltrated the south-east for the criminals they actually are! All are keeping quiet and pretending it's just criminality that goes on in normal daily life...probably because they're afraid to upset their Fulani masters! The useless governors had a meeting the other day about insecurity in the region, and they expertly avoided mentioning that northern elements are the ones that have caused a spike in criminality in the region....they were talking all sorts of nonsense except mentioning this known fact! I've said on a previous occassion that we should brace ourselves in the south-east for a heightened spate of insecurity in the run-up to the 2023 presidential elections! Their previous reason for engaging in criminality and false-flag operations in the region was to try and implicate Mazi Kanu and IPOB as 'terrorists', but with the forthcoming elections, they have the added reason of trying to cause a climate of fear and insecurity in the region in order to weaken Peter Obis' support base (and they've started this with disrupting the just concluded PVC registration excercise and disrupting political gatherings in the south-east); and they also want to cash out and make as much money as possible from their kidnapping before their boss (Buhari) leaves office next year (or earlier if God intervenes)! Now do these look like the kind of people that would be happy to see a Igbo take over next year....and expose and put a stop to all the criminality they've been engaged in all these past years? Of course not, and this is why i believe that, unless God scatters their plans, that they will work to see a Igbo doesn't take over in 2023. And like i said earlier, this plan has already been set in motion with their actions in the south-east region! Forget all this thing INEC is saying that the next elections would be rig-proof! Anything designed by man could equally be compromised by man....especially those as devious, calculating and power-hungry as the ones causing problems for us in Nigeria today! 6 Likes |

Since the posting of Maj. Gen Umar Musa (Fulani) to the 82 Div as GOC, the same pattern of Kidnapping that happened in Kaduna where he came from started happening here in Enugu. Enugu people should protect themselves from the corrupt Fulani army. 5 Likes |

Helicopter kor, parachute ni. I wonder what these people expected when IPOB released over 1000 convicted criminals, kidnappers, murderers, ritualists, cannibals and the lowest of humankind, from Owerri Prison into the streets of the South East. Blinded by their hate-driven myopic thought that they were “doing Buhari”, they cheered the IPOB/ESN terrorists and celebrated the jailbreak, even giving the false justification that most of the escaped criminals were wrongly convicted. Now the entire thing has turned around to bite their arses, and they have resumed their usual false deflective “suspected Fulani” narratives in a bid to evade taking responsibility for creating the monster that is now consuming them. Enugu State directly borders Anambra State, where Governor Soludo emphatically stated that 100% of the criminals and kidnappers caught were 100% Igbo. How then is it logical, reasonable and rational not to expect the same to apply to neighboring Enugu? Were Helicopters also dropping the Igbo criminals terrorizing neighboring Anambra as Soludo clearly stated? Keep trying to hide behind your finger. 7 Likes 3 Shares

DadaHammed: There is absolutely no way a rag tag group of disoriented boys like the fulani herdsmen could hold a massive country of this size by the jocular for years, unleashing this level of industrial scale kidnappings, with none of them being arrested, tried or jailed, if very well connected characters at the corridors of power, entrusted with the responsibility of protecting lives and property, are either NOT interested in doing their jobs or are ACTIVELY conniving with the violent deviants to cause mayhem... These violent raids are well planned, well choreographed and we'll organized diabolical acts of iniquity, unleashed to make dirty money and to consolidate raw power. 4 Likes |

QuotaSystem: IPOB has a kidnapping station less than 1 mile from Nigerian army checkpoint? The army giving IPOB members cover as they count their ransom money? Where were you when the same happened in Kaduna and along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, IPOB too? Think about it. Either you are blinded by your usual tribal hate, or you are manning the propaganda effort of the Fulani kidnappers. 4 Likes |

owobokiri: Finally, it is obvious to you and everyone that kidnapping is a HUGE organized crime business by top shots in Nigeria. Powerful criminals in government send their foot soldiers anywhere in Nigeria to kidnap the people for ransom. Then they use their top position in government to protect their foot soldiers by making sure that neither the Nigerian army nor Police will ever interfer with the mission of these kidnappers. Nigerians are at the mercy of God in the hands of these wicked cabal manipulating our government and security apparatus. 5 Likes |

Among military strategists it is called 'plundering'. It is an old strategy of weakening a strong enemy territory and it has proven to be quite successful. Nomadic tribes use it a lot against the sedentary societies because of how settled such societies are compared to the nomads who mostly have no bogus properties or robust communities. It is even a strategy used by the old cattle rearing Israelis against other sedentary and non-cattle herding communities. The Turks also used it against the Eastern Europeans which weakened them against the final Ottoman conquest of the Balkan territory. It's so sad the most Christians and Southerners still don't realize what we all are up against. The usage of military helicopters to airlift and plant them deep within our territory tells you that the fulanis in the Nigerian army are complicit in this organized invasion. We all must join forces to resist them. |
