Despite the heavy/mass defection going on in the north from Ruling APC party to opposition PDP, there are still few people in the NE and NW who would like to vote for APC, but those few ones are switching their loyalty to Atiku due to what they perceive as an attack by southerners who are victimizing Atiku due to his ethnicity..

Atiku is getting more sympathy votes from the north, plus the fact that he has realised that he has lost his base to L.P. hence his desperation to penetrate northern region using all political tools available since this is his last chance to contest election..

The issue became so complex when Seyi Makinde who should be working for his party PDP declared his support for Tinubu because of tribal affiliation..

What is sympathy in rejecting Atiku? Is it not supposed to be all south affairs. What is Atiku doing in that race in the first place after Buhari 8 years. If any body deserves sympathy vote, it is supposed to be Igbos Obi not Atiku. Seyi Makinde and Wike are right and are only doing what Atiku would have done if he was to be in their shoes. Nothing tribal in this issue, it is pure moral issue.

Bro - he is not going to do any of that . As much as I want LP to win .
They have no single governor, no senate seat . no house of representative. The dude would be a sitting duck president . You can’t write executive orders for everything you want to do.
The proof that we as youth were serious about change would have been for LP voters to have voted in en masse in ekiti and osun state and made noises or LP wave but no. It didn’t happen . This tells me we are not serious about change. The same people who voted for either PDP or APC at the state level would now switch allegiance at the federal election?

Re: Tribunal Accepts Bvas Reports Showing Over-voting Against Adeleke by PrinceOfLagos: 10:09pm On Nov 03, 2022
Manq17:
FIVE Reasons why I will NEVER vote Peter Obi in 2023. (The last reason will shock you)

1. I am a Yoruba man. I will rather vote a Yoruba man than an Igbo man.

Except that I lived along Lagos-Abeokuta expressway when Obasanjo was president, and he lived in Ota, along the same road, and it was amongst the worst in the country despite my neighbor being president

And the road remains so till today despite Lagos/FG alignment, which was the reason given then. Tribal politics has never benefited any tribe in Nigeria. The north remains the poorest despite having the most presidents, Bayelsa remains poor with development issues despite GEJ.

2. Tinubu fixed Lagos. Increased IGR

Infact Tinubu paid for my WAEC in 2002. I thank him for that. I thank him. But there is more to my son’s future than Lagos’ revenue and WAEC. Lagos is not fixed, it is infact an epitome of Nigeria’s political corruption, underdevelopment and vested interest-driven rot - in transport system through NURTW, in corruption by public officers, wasteful spending, collapse of infrastructure and delays of infrastructural projects despite huge revenue potential, high handedness of security officials, etc.

I do not believe Tinubu will cause a paradigm shift in governance in Nigeria, because clearly, governance in Lagos has even come to represent the very worst of Nigerian governance - cronyism, favoritism, extortion, bribery, violence, rigging, crude godfatherism, profligacy, etc

So where will a man who has enabled this for over 20yrs suddenly get the change we need from? The contest is not between Tinubu as governor vs Peter Obi as governor. It is between Tinubu as a political shark and enabler of profligate governance vs. Reform-minded minimalism of PO

3. Peter Obi is IPOB. Atiku will unify Nigeria.

Except that Atiku has NEVER called out herdsmen attack on other tribes because of his cultural linkage, never called out banditry will his full chest, never called out religious killings in the north - infact deleted a tweet on his behalf condemning the killing of Deborah. Never condemned terrorism-linked Minister Pantami, and shown consistently that he is a closet Buharist waiting to launch his tribal &religious bias once he reaches Aso rock. But its Obi who has repeatedly denied IPOB that is the problem

4. Peter Obi cannot win. Labour Party has no structure

Many of us have since agreed that real structural change in Nigeria cannot come from the two dominant parties - the only way to achieve this is for a people-backed candidate to win. This is the closest we have being to this.

Else, others will be more sympathetic to their badly corrupt political structures. Tinubu and Atiku are amongst the biggest gladiators of that corrupt political structure. LP and Obi have built a momentum that is reverberating across the world. It can happen and it is happening.

5. Peter Obi’s supporters are toxic and abusive. I can never align with such bullies.

Well, all thanks to Buharists who introduced this approach in 2015, and to be fair, it worked for ousting GEJ and built momentum for Buhari globally.

That GMB ended up a complete calamity isn’t because of that support, but because he was never a good candidate. Peter Obi is by all parameters better than Buhari. The anger is even more justified now because the rot has further deepened. Nigerians are dying like chickens.

You can’t expect a dying man to be smiling at you for supporting his killers. APC ruined Nigeria in the past 7.5years. Tinubu endorsed the ruin and his boys benefitted from it. If that same level of venom is required to achieve the 2015 effect, then sorry, but I’m not sorry.

"These are the reasons why I won’t vote Peter Obi". I won’t vote him alone. I will vote him with my family, friends and all associates I can rally.

Did you read the whole contents or just the headline: THE CTC AND BVAS HAS BEEN ADMITTED AS EVIDENCE THAT THE TOTAL NUMBERS OF VOTE CASTED IN THE AFFECTED COUNCILS IS MORE THAN THE NUMBERS OF REGISTERED VOTERS …it simply means there’s an over voting in those councils at the end of the day the over voted numbers will be deducted from the total vote casted of the affected party and the final decisions will be based on that.

Sympathy votes will not stop banditry and kidnapping. Good leadership will. Anyone voting Atiku is completely against the progress of Nigeria. If a leader cannot unite his own party men, how can he unite Nigeria? Atiku sold our national assets as Vice President and stole money as attested to by his boss. Yet some people still want to vote him?

Very well said brother.
Just look at the oil theft issue. Just 1 expose interview alleging gov was responsible for oil theft, the next week, they found 2 illegal oil pipe lines!
People in gov are stealing more oil than the whole country is selling. Who can bring a whole super tanker almost 1 kilometer long into our waters without the navy knowing, without Nnpc with all their satellite based monitoring system detecting it? Pipeline with an army camp 50 meters away.
Despite all this discovery, our crude export has still not risen to opec quota to earn us forex. How??
We have become the joke of the world. Emirates stopped flights to Nigeria indefinitely today and what are gov officials saying? Emirates should go to hell, Nigerians should stop traveling, rather look inwards! Can you imagine? Because they have access to private jets, is buhari not abroad?
Today access bank reduced Pta for customers to $1500, and optainable just 2ice yearly. Foreign school fees to $1500 only and I hear yearly! But they, gov officials will get allocation in millions of usd to round trip in the blackmarket.
Nigeria is the only oil producing country not benefiting from high oil and gas prices from the Ukraine war. First month of the war, Angola saw 20% appreciation of their currency against the dollar. God knows what it is now. Countries in Europe etc are opening their borders to angolans to come spend money, but the opposite is the case with Nigeria, the joke of the world!
Yet, folks on this forum will hear APC and still applaud them. One would have thought at the mention of apc and the impostor of this calamity, stone will fly. But alas, this is Nigeria.
Nigerians deserve to suffer just as the children of Israel did in biblical times.
One day, we will have sense!

On the other hand
The case may likely not more than 2 month in the Supreme Court before the final judgment

Tribunal: Nothing to Celebrate in APC Documents Presentation; Adeleke Counsel, Osun PDP

We want to note that we have been silent on Tribunal matters for the past few days in observance of the mourning of the sad exit of our Son, Ifeanyi Davido. We however find it necessary to correct the falsehood being spread by the APC over the Tribunal proceedings.

We affirm that ongoing tendering of documents by counsel to Mr Gboyega Oyetola is not in anyway an indication of judicial victory over Senator Ademola Adeleke. In any case, before the law today, APC had no candidate for the July 16th election.

Counsel to the Governor elect, Nathaniel Oke, SAN and Osun State Chairman of the PDP have both clarified this position after today's proceeding at the Osun State Governorship Tribunal. Mr Oke narrated that the petitioners are currently presenting their case which includes presentation of documents relating to the electoral processes.

" The petitioners have time allotted to them. We will be challenging the admissibility of many of the submitted documents in our final address after which the panel will deliver ruling in their judgements. This implies that there is nothing special or spectacular about the ongoing presentation.

" We should all be aware that after the petitioners have presented their case, the defence team will take turn to also make presentation. We will also present documents, call witnesses and submit hard materials. Our case suffers no setback as nothing has happened that signify any positive turn of event for the petitioner", Mr Oke explained.

The defence team further berated the APC for engaging in media trial by pretending to be achieving mileage when the so called documents are just results sheets duly signed by APC agents and purpurted BVAS report.

Rather than submitting the documents at a sitting, the APC further staggered the submissions across three days in a bid to sustain false narrative of good showing at the Tribunal. We accused the APC of a failed bid to win public symphathy as the exercise further confirms that Governor Oyetola has no chance of stopping the will of Osun people from materialising.

Also speaking on the subject, the Osun State PDP Caretaker Chairman, Dr Adekunle Akindele said the party was silent since yesterday on the court proceedings because of the bereavement within the Adeleke family, wondering why APC operatives are embarking on false propaganda at a time of mourning for a prominent son of Osun state.

" We have remained silent on the court matter because these are trying days for a top son of Osun state, Mr Davido and the entire Adeleke family. Let me reassure our people that Mr Oyetola is just continuing his failed media propaganda as nothing incriminating or damaging has happened to our Governor-elect at the Tribunal.

" Our defence remains as solid as ever. The victory of PDP is a reality that cannot be upturned by a man who is not even a candidate in the election he is challenging", the party Chairman stated.

He noted that "it is elementary that in judicial proceedings, petitioner and defence teams normally have allotted time to present their cases", wondering "what tickles petitioners with mere documents presentation at the Tribunal.

"It is even surprising that the outgoing Governor and his APC who earlier declared that the petition will be the fastest are those now playing at the Tribunal while their time wastes away, yet dishing out lies and false narratives to members of the public in their desperate media voyage".

" Let them know they are chasing shadows. Osun people have decided", the party Chairman concluded.

E-Signed

Mallam Olawale Rasheed,

Spokesperson to the Governor-elect.
that they are going to this extent actually shows their jittery, over voting is serious, its either they cancel the election in the area or deduct the excess votes, there are no 2 ways about it
