Surely the Ka 52 alligator. I got a number of reasons.

As a Nigerian, I will love my country to purchase military equipment that can perform for at least a decade and the Ka 52 trumps the ah-64 in my opinion.

We have less restrictions, it has a lower flyaway cost and also has an ejecting seat as a bonus.

The ah 64 might be slightly faster but the ka 52 has a longer range.

For countries represented here if your country was to go for an attack helicopter in an urban warfare let's say like Ukraine, sentiment aside between the 2 below which would you prefer.

It is certain that there are many capable and dangerous military attack helicopters in the world, but what is the best of the best? The two most capable and lethal attack helicopters are undoubtedly the Boeing AH-643 Apache Guardian that serves for the USAF and the Kamov Ka-52 Alligator that is operated by the Russian Air Force. It would be pretty interesting to find out which is the most powerful and advanced helicopter out of these two.

They are both good attack helicopters though but I like to think the Ka-52 is best fit for amphibious operations. So the AH 64 is good for urban warfare not minding collateral damage

Off-topic: the Cape Town shipyard, Southern Wind, lowered this baby onto the water yesterday.

The 29.24m vessel marks a significant milestone for Southern Wind because it’s the fourth in the yacht builder’s SW96 series and crucially, its first hybrid. The client is a young owner on his third yacht and that he wanted a vessel that is sexy, comfortable, reliable and sustainable that he can not only use to compete in super yacht regattas but can also sail around the world.

The HybridGen powertrain provides zero emission propulsion during sailing and can keep the yacht electrically powered when at anchor. When the sails are unfurled and the boat is crossing the ocean, the wind power can recharge the lithium-ion energy storage system.

It also includes a tender garage for a small boat or jet skis and there’s an 8.5 square metre swimming platform so the owner, his family and their guests can enjoy time moored in a quiet lagoon.

The interior will feature a forward owner’s cabin, two sumptuous guest cabins and crew quarters as well as an aft galley. The main saloon has been designed to be light and spacious and there will be a large entertainment saloon with a television and space for guests to relax after a day’s sailing.

All of the owner’s previous boats have been called Nyumba, a Swahili word meaning “house” or “home".

The entire project is rumoured to have cost EURO15 million, according to my sailing instructor.

Negative. The ka 50 and ka 52 are designed with an ejection mechanism that triggers the explosion and detachment of the main rotor blades before ejecting the pilot/pilots with the seat.

The frame of this attack helicopter might be a rugged and surviving frame especially during crashes, but ejection is effective.

There is already a local manufacuture that manufactures chips for electricity and Water smart meters and wifi routers so looks like the silicon industry is about to take off.
