Proof of enrolment is not required if your program has not started and the deadline to register for courses has not passed.
You can request an enrolment letter from your school if you have registered for courses. Also, a copy of your registered courses printed from the school’s portal will suffice for proof of enrolment.
Ok thanks.

If I may ask, supposing an individual offered me a scholarship to study in Canada, how can I address that in my SOP?. The scholarship money has been transfered to my account. As I'm currently writting my SOP, should I just write that I got so so scholarship from the person with the evidence (scholarship certificate)?

Darshitsingh:

In order to enter Canada, you must:

an immigration visa for Canada (if this applies)
Proof of Permanent Residency for each member of your family travelling with you

a passport or other appropriate travel document for each member of your family who is accompanying you
two copies each of:
a thorough list of every piece of luggage or home item you're bringing
a list of the things with the highest dollar worth that will arrive later

This is it for students visa though. This is for those going to land on a PR.

Hi all,

Is there anyone coming to Vancouver soon?
I'd be glad to pick you up at the airport to your destination if you land at night time or on weekend.
I recently moved to Canada from Nigeria few months ago on a difference route (work permit) but this is where I got all the information I needed about medication examination and passport submission. I found this platform very useful and I've been recommending it to a lot of people. Thank you all for the contributions and to everyone waiting for a decision from IRCC. I pray you get it soon and it shall be positive.

Hello everyone, please I want to apply for study visa for myself and I also want to apply for my dependent visa which is for my wife and kid.

I understand I will apply directly for study visa for myself but since I am not applying for study visa for my wife and kid, which option should I choose for them when applying since they are dependent.

Will appreciate a candid response.

Thanks

Good day
Apply for SOWP for your wife and visitor visa for your kid if your child is 0-5 years, study permit if 5 years and above. All the best

Good day all... I noticed something recently... Most of my people who got PPR recently are people whose school resumes very early January... Most whose school resumes late January, towards 30th BVL and Medical was just released... I believe there will be congestion in the Nairobi IRCC office so after this set of passport stamping they will release others for late January... Who has observed this too I wish all of us who are waiting for PPR Good luck... Thanks...

Unlike PR applications, temporary resident applications are based on the discretion of the VO handling your applications. As a result, expect different answers to your question.
If you can connect the program, school and your ambition, you should have no issue, especially if the school is a DLI and the program is PGWP-eligible. For example, you can say that the college is a small school with a small class size which makes it even easier to have a closer learning interaction with the instructors. You can go further to discuss the method of learning the college uses in Project Management and that it is your best method. Vos likes to know that you have done your research.

What I can say regarding the information you received is that if proof of funds barely meets the requirement (considering the low tuition fee), and you have chosen an affordable school, it could raise the issue of the ability to cover the cost of study without working in Canada. So, it is not because of the school per se but how the VO views your intentions for choosing the school. Show you are financially capable, and the school will not be an issue. There are many Nigerian studying at Holland College, and I have helped many with their application.

There are lots of affordable Project Management in Ontario. Could you share why you don’t want to go to Ontario? Maybe the information you have regarding Ontario and your ambition is incorrect. Let me know if you want to apply to other schools outside Ontario for Project Management, but the tuition fee will not be as affordable

My sister and her husband are planning Canada via study route but her GRE results were poor and she is looking at university of Manitoba. Is it advisable they still apply despite the low scores or they should look for schools that don't require GRE?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by bullstriker: 12:15am On Dec 27, 2022
Is the individual part of an organization notable for offering scholarships? Has the person offered a scholarship to people before now? Was the scholarship certificate issued by an organization or just created by the person? If the answers to these questions are no, ensure the funds stay in the account, as the VO might ask for an updated bank statement during the processing.

An alternative way of going about this is for the person to do a gift deed or use the person as a third-party sponsor; scholarship certificate from an individual might be scrutinized, especially if the person is not a public figure. For example, if the person is just assisting you with a certain amount to cover the cost of your studies, he can do a gift deed stating the incentive for sponsoring your education

If you intend to proceed with the scholarship certificate, there is no fixed way of addressing it, as every application differs. However, you can discuss how you merited the scholarship, why the person is granting you a scholarship, your relationship to the individual, previous scholarships awarded by the person and most importantly, discuss the profile of the benefactor. You should have some funds in your account even if you are receiving a scholarship, especially if you are employed and not a recent graduate.

I have been going through updates from this page and I must confess,it's really educating as regards the subject matter. I want to apply for a post graduate certificate in Conestoga college. I am a graduate of mechanical Engineering (2017) and have work experience only in teaching (though technology related subjects like Technical drawing, mathematics and physics). I need proper guide on a choice of course.
1. Should I stay in the engineering line. (Am considering "Applied manufacturing management".. Or do a one year PG certificate on Project management or supply chain management.
2. Would the fact that I don't really have work experience in the field mentioned above affect my visa application process.?
3. The school listed optional documents to submit , "statement of interest", statement of intent". Which should I go for.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by bullstriker: 1:00am On Dec 27, 2022
1. Go for a program related to your present occupation unless you have a solid reason to change your career.
2. Yes, it could affect the outcome.
3. You don’t have to submit them to get admission to PGD. I can help you secure admission to Conestoga; the service is free.

Hello Bullstriker,

My brother submitted his application too in May and we have been waiting since then. We have sent countless emails and web forms no response. Reached out to Mp- no response and GCMS notes- no significant information.
Latest update was on November 28 when they requested for updated LOA which was sent immediately. Review of eligibility also started. Any other advice or suggestions? Thank you

Hello,

How long does it take IOM to send the medical report to IRCC after medical examination?
Can someone help drop an email I can use to confirm if IOM has forwarded the medical report.

Have you tried sending webforms and emails to Nairobi, Accra, London, etc with subject as [URGENT], application timeline and how long the application is in days or weeks? You can also try ordering your GCMS or CBSA notes.
