BennyDGreat: Are you sure you understood the question I asked? When you say "extra" teaching hospital, which teaching hospital was in ota or in convenant university before? How is an "extra teaching hospital" "extra economic activity"? Who are those that supply things to the school and what do they supply and from where do they supply? How does that translate to development for ogun state? Which businesses are around covenant university community? |

Menclothing: I will happily work for him for free if he doesn't "charge" people to come to his church. Also I will happily let people attend for free if they are part of the process of building an edifice. Even if they aren't but live within the vicinity, they can attend for free. Costs will be offset by how much you charge others. |

Franklydes: Please how is he collecting from or for the people? have you gotten any text from Oyedepo saying u owe him a kobo? If you attend winners and you don't give offering or tithe, who will take you to court? I don't attend either winner or redeem, i am an Anglican member and i am an employer of labour in the UAE, i choose to invest here because the government policies in Nigeria will kill my business. So, i will commend anyone putting any structure together in Nigeria and again, paying Tax is a must but giving tithe or offering is simply optional. People paying it are not complaining. Channel your complaint to your government that takes heavy tax from you and still campaign with what they should do with the tax money and still wont do it. 2 Likes |

CodeTemplar: See funny reasoning oh. So na to chop forex be your own? No wonder them say all we sabi do na to consume. Zero production. Even after we produce the few we have, we frustrate them out of the country, for them to send forex back wey we go chop. And when we fall ill, we take it out on the few unfortunate doctors that couldn't Japa, and oppress them, work them to stupor, and even shoot them to death like those cultists did that doctor in Delta state. Just when I was beginning to think of staying back, my fellow Nigerians have reminded me not to dull myself. Thank you very much for the reminder bro, I no go dull myself again meen... |

I don't know what is pushing Oyedepo, but whatever is pushing him is definitely very strong, and he really has confidence in it. His confidence level is something else, and worthy of emulation. I would have loved to study the man, but winners collect transport fare from me wey be new comer first time wey I go the church. Since then, I no go again... Whether we like it or not, Covenant is gearing to become another Harvard University, and with the kind of vision Oyedepo has, I see them getting there soon. |

CheapHomes1: 1. More population, more specialists (skilled labourers), increased human capital. Net cash flow increases too. Of course you know how redirecting money to a state amount to development. The success of CU in the state will demonstrate that Ogun is a safe place to conduct business. The population increase means there will be increase in demand...this will also increase supply, and there will be an increase in the net flow of cash/income. 2. First, the medical school will attract medical students and specialist doctors to train them. The teaching hospital will also serve the state. The specialist healthcare facility will attract patients and open new grounds in the health sector. For example, if they offer MRI services, they'd be a referral centre as this is not common in our environment. The teaching hospital will also train resident doctors and other allied healthcare specialists. Overall, more money flows into the state. Same applies to the law school. 3. Don't get this third question. They'd be doing their jobs na. Refer to my point 1 above, please. 4. Let me put it this way: the higher the population, the higher the economic interactions (buying and selling of goods and services). The more the economic interactions, the more the profit. Businesses will boom once there is increased profit. Once these businesses boom/expand, they'd need more factors of production (land and labour). Ogun will enjoy new, great structures...and employment will increase. SME's will thrive, bigger companies will not be left out. The revenue of the state will increase as the more the businesses, the more the tax. With the extra money, the state will develop in areas the government deems fit. So, the money will be redirected to private and public sectors. 4. Already answered this. Thank you. 1 Like |

TONYE001: You failed to answer this question...Which money will be redirected to the state? Where will the money be redirected from and to who will it be redirected to? Before now, are you telling me there were no skilled labourers in the whole of Ogun state? How does the success of CU demonstrate that Ogun state is safe to conduct business? Is it today that CU has been existing and is it the first educational establishment or business investment in Ogun state that it is now the standard for measuring safety in Ogun state? Which population increase are you referring to? Can you estimate the population increase that will accrue to the whole of Ogun state because oyedepo built schools of law and medicine in sango ota? How many students will the school of medicine atteact and how many specialist doctors will they attract? Is there no teaching hospital in Ogun state at the moment and is there nowhere in Ogun state to do MRI scan? How does the training of medical doctors and lawyers at CU mean "more money flows into the state"? Which jobs are they doing and who are doing the jobs? According to you "....the higher the population, the higher the economic interactions (buying and selling of goods and services). The more the economic interactions, the more the profit. Businesses will boom once there is increased profit.". Which higher population are you referring? What is the number of people that will flock into Ogun state from other states because oyedepo is building schools of law and medicine in sango ota? What will they be buying and selling in the whole of Ogun state because of the building of schools of law and medicine at CU, sango ota? Which businesses will boom in Ogun state because of schools of law and medicine in CU, sango ota? |

People like you add nothing and offer nothing anywhere. All you know is to vent undertones of displeasure when you see people doing anything notable... Only a fool will see news like that and not just commend it outrightly and leave. It's idiots that always want to cast an aspersion. |
