If you want to know the governors that stockpiled money in their warehouses, look at the 3 governors that sued FG to supreme court.

FG needs to put eye on Elrufai, Yahaya Bello and Zamfara governor

EFCC has ealier said it and her eyes are on them

Three governors from North and one from south

The southern one said he will join them

Even Lagos governor does take it deeper like them

I don't trust the Federal Govt, CBN

The 31st January deadline extension is a good example.

All these people celebrating don't know the issue is still lingering. If CBN doesn't print and release more new notes, doesn't allow banks to pay old notes, then the problem still remains. All the poor masses complaining in banks wouldn't have been doing that if they had old notes to spend because it still hasn't expired. The CBN has mopped up old notes from ordinary citizens. It's politicians that has most of the old notes still outside.
Well said!

There was a plan earlier to take it to 17th,just a week to election.
But people would not rush to change the cash
So the decision to give it small-small lol.
The governor help the FGN in disguise

The headline is simply misleading. There is absolutely nothing in the report to suggest what the headline is reporting. This is a case between some states and the FG. The AGF simply filed a response to the suit of the governor. The Supreme Court order maintaining status quo till 15th of February remains valid. If you have old notes, you are free to spend it till 15th of February when the court will decide whether to vacate or extend the order.
Na you know, they there dey mumu yourself , be ready to take your old money to the Supreme Court after the CBN deadline tomorrow.

My concern is why aren't these people pushing for more new notes to be pushed into the economy. Why is their concern only about the old notes to continue being legal tender?

Banks would still not pay out old notes and except you've stocked up old notes at home, this is just a total waste of time, except CBN reverts and push old notes into the economy as the new notes printed isn't much. Cash shortage problem hasn't been addressed yet.

You should get your facts right before you talk. They governors have always insisted that both new snd old should run together for at least 1 year. You don’t any conspiracy to latch on to ehn!!!!

Shut up!!! Lagos and other states are joining in the suit. Many of you are agents of devil. You want the country to up in flames because it serves Obi the right position to win. He will never win. People are now shifting positions and seeing Tinubu as the victim. More votes are coming to Tinubu. You have shot yourselves in the foot.

Which people?

Is Tinubu no more the flagbearer of the ruling party that created the policy?

Let me tell you, average Nigerian or voter on the street doesn't know anything cabal or crack in APC, all they know is that APC people have dealt with them .. grin grin grin

Keep pushing your luck to feel good, the reality that is about to hit you is inevitable

CBN will not pay out the old notes to banks. It's been mopped up already. Where will you get the old notes from to use? How much old notes do you think is outside now when CBN claimed to have retrieved over 75% of it's target?

Buhari said we should give him 7 days to solve this problem.

Today is already 9th and Buhari hasn't been able to solve the problems yet because he would rather go and campaign for his party than solve a new problem he just created for the country.

I have never seen a president as insensitive and incompetent as that herder.

You mean you took buhari serious when he said they should give him 7 days to solve the issue?

If you can believe Buhari, it means you can believe anything from the FG
