Hello, can the Unilag French course be used to write the TEF exam or would you advise one get a private tutor? I am already self-studying French but I want to go to physical classes to prepare for the exam.

Sure if you are proficient enough, remember it is a language test and not an academic exercise

Thanks for your feedback, what I mean by statement is the statement of deposit and liqudiation from stanbic money market, I have been using them since 2015, was thinking attaching it could be bulky. You know you can print the transaction statement from stanbic.

I will mention the source of fund as you advised.

They definitely don’t need the history since 2015. A 6 month statement is sufficient so you don’t overwhelm the evaluating officer. You can support it with an LOE if there are big inflows.

1. Source for cash from aboki ( black market rate) then deposit into your dollar card to make payment.

2. Make use of the fintech companies that offer virtual dollar cards, they also charge at black market rate.

Hi, I went through the Unilag HRDC Diploma in French and I will tell you that the best that programme can take you to is A2 and the least level you need to be at before attempting TEF is B2.

It was almost a waste of time and money for me because I was already at A2 level before I applied for the programme, thinking they were going to help me reach at least B1. On paper it seemed okay, but after starting the programme, other hidden expenses started popping up. We ended up paying more than double of what was advertised on the Unilag website. This wouldn't have been a problem except for the fact the programme taught me nothing I didn't already know.

I won't say I regretted it because some people I met there made the programme worth it, but if I were to do it all over again, I most likely would go for the advanced diploma in business administration like some people I knew went for. That one was more straightforward and even though both the biz admin and French programmes were supposed to run for 9 months, they were done long before we the French people were even halfway through.

Long story short, if you are thinking of the Unilag French programme, get yourself a private tutor or you can attend classes at IEF or Alliance Française. Personally, I prefer IEF classes.

Alberta has been doing siblings draws since December , so if you have a sibling in Alberta you might be lucky .
Processing times after NOI depends on the individual . Lots of documents to submit but No POF for Alberta

This might help you. Also use keywords to search this thread, there are previous cases of PRs who added spouse post AOR.

Thanks so much, this is so helpful. I am already an A2 learner, I just need classes to help boost my learning quickly. I will look into the IEF and private tutor to see which will fit my budget.

I doubt if that should be a problem. Someone paid for me in WES, and it was acknowledged..

Once a reference is made to your profile form number, you should be safe..

Please nobody has time to hate on you. What exactly is the question about remarking for? U have maxed out already so why are you remarking? And please don’t say you are not aware cos knowing the required scores and bands is one of the first things before even sitting for the exam. P.S the ppl you’re claiming that are hating on you already have ITA and PPR

You could have your PR and still "hate" on him. Why did you have to resort to that thought? Ask yourself what you would have said if those scores were all 6's. Would you still write the above and say he should have known? Don't we all see people post IELTS scores here from time to time? If you feel threatened by those numbers (that aren't even incredibly excellent to start with), then you need to ask yourself some serious questions about how you see things at first glance.

I thought we closed this chapter already, there’s no need to revisit it, it’s unnecessary.
