We are not even up to 150mil in population... Aside the population of Lagos ( contestable ), that of Kano state is a fat lie and the same is applicable to almost all Nigerian states.
A simple travel across the country would reveal the lies to you.

Average salary means it can be higher or lower.

Average salary in Canada is less than $3,000 and you have to pay rent of over $1 000 plus other bills and feeding.

What will now remain

Japa geng over to you.

My brother work hard, save money and jakpa stop doing calculations that will not benefit you o. People who are there don't have plans to come back anytime soon, don't follow social media talk

Nigeria cheesy

The interesting thing about Nigeria's average net salary is that many people earning such can end up accomplishing more in Nigeria than those earning thousands of dollars in other countries. cool

What can be accomplished with minimum wage of 30k? This is why there's corruption in the society.

I still maintain that organized Labour should demand for hourly rate. If the hourly rate cannot put a meal on your table then we are very poor. And I'm not talking of dependants yet.

That 30k is quite deceiving. It's just about #150 per hour...and that cannot put meal on the table for anyone anywhere in Nigeria.

Come on will you guys stop disgracing yourselves on a public forum?

This is average salary! Not minimum wage! angry

For gawd sake you guys are graduates o, even post graduates!

That amount is wrong if u understand what average means.

Average should be very close to the mode, and u know the modal salary here is around 20,000 to 25,000. Therefore the average should be around 27,000 naira which is $50 at #450 per dollars

Oga forget, if I tell u the no of people that I know that earns #20,000 monthly eh, u will shock. Therefore the modal salary can be safely stipulated to be #20,000. And the average salary has to be very close to this amt. Convert to dollars.

I'd say about 15 cars for washing.
Then an average of 10 cars for factory wash per week(factory wash is about 10k or more)
And yes he is looking for workers. Maybe 2 more.

It is well. That's why I laugh when Nigerians in the UK, US, Canada and other European countries compare the living costs in those countries to Nigeria. Wetin $145 fit do for you compared to what you're earning? If you are in Europe, that one fit no pay just your energy bills in a month sef

That US number will put you in an effective tax rate of 30% (Federal and State) and if you are unlucky to live in a city where they charge city and county tax then your number goes up to 32%. Now ask an average Nigerian if they are willing to pay over $1200 of their $4200 in taxes, I bet you the overwhelming reply will be hell NO. In the US ain't no way to avoid death and Tax. I finished paying for my house 6 years ago, but every freaking year I still pay over $5k in property tax.

Well a lot of them do that in the UK, US and other countries. Many will answer YES because they want a better quality of life even if they have to pay taxes. The taxes are well utilised in the western world unlike Nigeria where it is embezzled.
