He should have used spin bot to rephrase.
Even google will know and flag your content with plagiarism if you directly use chatgpt.
The rational use is to get ideas and spin it in your favour.
they were a lazy bunch, you do further research not just copy and paste.

I am not really impressed with this ChatGPT. I tried checking some Law programs on the platform and it gave me wrong answers.

Thankfully, it gave a disclaimer.

I see some folks even use ChatGPT to write their Statement of Purpose for Japa. I laugh in Swahili.

Some use it for their assignments and research in school. Smiles. They don't know Turnitin has a feature that detects such.

AI is very good if you know how to use it and after that go for plagiarism.

Is it wrong to use it for SOP?

I feel you can use it as a guide but don't solely depend on it because it lacks ORIGINALITY. And those schools can easily detect that you used the platform.

Your SOP is your personal story. ChatGPT doesn't know it, does it?

Chatgpt is a very dangerous AI tool that you must never use to solicit for any form of advise or suggestion. It will give you believable fake answer like the case of this lawyer.
In my own experience, I was doing a research paper and sought inputs from Chatgpt for my literature reviews and requested for sources and references using Apa 6 format. Chatgpt supplied various copiously believable references which turned out to be non-existent when I did a crosscheck on Google Scholar. I have to abandon those references and got it done from other sources.
Be careful.

now you are beginning to see - more hype than substance

though that applies to every tool that can improve your workflow

GIGO - garbage in garbage out. if you dont actually understand what you are doing, you will use the tool to fk yourself up

reminded me of an excerpt from a novel

Ng blows out more smoke, thinking. “As we learned in Vietnam, high-powered weapons are so sensorily overwhelming that they are similar to psychoactive drugs. Like LSD, which can convince people they can fly — causing them to jump out of windows — weapons can make people overconfident. Skewing their tactical judgment. As in the case of Fisheye.”

The case here is not plagiarism, it's the referenced unfounded, fake cases that don't exist anywhere.

A.I is a threat in many aspects of humanity

I wouldn't want to believe you have a closed mind!

Nuclear plants pose a threat of radiation if things go bad, yet they could supply needed electricity.

Everything has a disadvantage, but also an advantage.

I am currently working on online apps powered by AI, and the projection and possibilities are endless... I think everyone should find a space in the new world because AI can never be withdrawn, as anyone could learn and build.

Honestly, it's all hype oh.

The time I asked you if ChatGPT was an app, after trying it out for three days, I just dumped the site and haven't used it since.

This is an evidence that no machine can replace the human brain, no matter how smart the machine may be.

The problem here is not the AI itself. The so called lawyer did not have enough common sense to further verify the authenticity of the data he got through AI

It’s not about plagiarism. ChatGPT gave them fake reference case that never happened.

they didn't prompt it well. The way it was designed it will give fake references to avoid legal litigation

Ynix. No, ChatGPT brings a lot of false information and fake references. No matter how you prompt it.
