No need to pity anyone in this country again because we all deserve the hardship.

You get a car just like that; no down payment. I'm sure they showed you the agreement, you read, agreed, and signed the dotted line. If you followed the agreement to the latter and they still impound "your" car, then you can come and accuse them of wrongdoing. They're creditors running a business that isn't a charity. It's what they do.

I sincerely don't understand why Nigerians can't keep to agreements and terms and conditions.

No wonder banks are reluctant to give loans.

You get a loan under certain terms and conditions, when it's time to pay, you raise sentiment and personal issues into what was clearly spelt out in black and white.

Dont get a loan and start a venture just because others are making profit from it, do a self analysis and check if you have the financial stability to weather any small storm. Don't expect that once you start, profits starts running in (as you were told).

Never borrow to start a business, save or look for grants, only borrow to expand a profiting business

This is exploitation. How will they be able to repay when you impounded the vehicles.

Lack of jobs in this country has engendered other countries to take undue advantage on us.

This is citizen oppression indeed. There should be a regulatory agency monitoring the execution of these contracts to avoid underhand dealings. The drivers could try to cheat. On the other hand Moove could be very autocratic and inhuman if their activities are not subject to regulation. Any non Governmental organization can take up this. It bleeds my heart that someone would devout daily payments and make over a million Naira in loan repayment but denied vehicle due to a month or two default.
It's clearly stated in the agreement, read it and if you are not comfortable, don't sign

I recently did a purchase from Sunking and one of the terms is that they will come and take their installations if I default after a week of grace no matter the amount previously paid

Don't also forget the insincerity of some of the drivers, many of them engaged in offline trips. They forgot the company could track the journey of the vehicle.

If you must know Moove is also owing bank loans therefore they are under an enormous amount of pressure to service the loans they used to purchase the cars

The conditions are to stringent in the first place. How would you expect someone to drive for 12hrs a day, 6 days a week.

That's slavery!

Give them a car for hire purchase, they will still damage it and run away.

Moove is exactly what they deserve.

Haha grin.
I remember when I went to their office with the mindset of getting a new or at least tokunbo 2016 Toyota corolla from moove despite having a 2007 Honda civic I was already using but always had something to fix and spend money on. I went through all the stages required to get the vehicle. Note that I was assured it was a new vehicle o. On the day I was called to pick up the vehicle, I went to collection center and lo and behold, there were lots of very neat cars but obviously not tokunbo nor new yet what these nitwits assigned me to was a beat up 2014 corolla. On a second thought i was like “maybe the previous person was rough with it so maybe it’s just a bed cosmetic look. I sha took the keys, started the vehicle and left. First thing I noticed was the vehicle’s brakes were flat grin. Shey these people wan kill be before I even start work? Anyhow na just brake pads so I go change am myself. That’s how I drove into a fuel station to top up so I could use the ac. As I bought fuel and turned on the AC, lo and behold ac that was chilling at collection center was no longer cooling. I immediately called the center and told them if the flat brakes and the ac no longer chilling. Na so dem blame me of spoiling their car o🤣🤣🤣 grin . How did i spoil car that I only collected like an hour ago? I be winch? I sha took the car home, parked it there hoping when they don’t see remittance, they’ll come and tow their car themselves. As they didn’t show up and car was taking unnecessary space in the compound, I asked a friend to drive my civic and follow me to the Moove center to drop off their death trap.

Simple ... If you don't have real crase for head , Nigerians will send you to village... Gave one a vehicle then he didn't pay for a month and started giving excuses, he even got to a heated argument that he said he would beat my mum... My mum didnt tell me it was the guy that brought the driver that told me later ... The man was just begging that he never knew the person was like that , that he wouldnt have brought him... Nigerians are very difficult to deal with... Very very difficult...

Sad but I don't really pity the drivers.

An Uber driver will crawl until trekkers walk past you or deliberately enter behind a parked korope loading passengers because he wants to add ordinary N300 to his fare.

They are very criminal-minded and deserve all the evil coming their way.
Me too

You are supposed to pay back your loan in daily installments but didn't pay for 30 days because of 'fuel scarcity' and the car was impounded and you are asking us to condemn the company for not being considerate, a company that has staff to pay, run generators, pay taxes, etc.
Haaa Nigerians una wicked o shocked

Uber driver Adams Ikemu Adakole diligently paid the daily installments on his car loan from Nigerian vehicle-financing firm Moove for three months. But in February 2023, his work came to a standstill due to fuel scarcity in Lagos. Adakole failed to pay his loan installments, and Moove issued him a warning over the phone in March. Shortly after, the company remotely locked and seized his vehicle, Adakole told Rest of World.

Though he immediately borrowed ‎30,000 naira ($65) from a lending app and made a partial payment to Moove, he hasn’t gotten his car back. “Fairmoney — the lending app — has been calling me nonstop to repay,” Adakole said, adding that he cannot repay the loan because he doesn’t have a car to drive for Uber anymore.
