The level of corruption in Nigeria's oil industry is mammoth. They don't actually know the average consumption of petrol on a daily basis in Nigeria.

Shebi they said these same set of people are the ones benefiting from the subsidy?

They said removing subsidy will put them out of business.

How come they are growing richer while the common man grows poorer?

How can removing subsidies put oil marketers out of business? They will simply increase their prices to match demand and then regulate supply.

The reason they are enjoying excess profits is that demand is currently abnormally high due to people buying more petrol than they need.

They would vomit it.

Just leave them, a time is coming when it would take them 3 weeks to sell one tanker of 45,000 litres.

Now I'm in my house with my family, no waka waka up and down like before. No need to burn fuel. I used to worship at Goshen Keffi Abuja Road but I've changed to Nyanya church. Children school would be changed next session. No more paying for school bus. Na so e be now. Let's see who dey buy fuel like before. Even my neighbor doesn't run Generator since Wednesday. I used to charge my phone there. Before he would tell you he couldn't sleep without fan on. I've not ask him why he hasn't been putting on his generator.

Mumu thinking. We won't vomit anything. This is money safely in our pockets. Anything we buy going forward we'll simply sell at normal profit.

I know the media can be used for propaganda but this have gone beyond that. This is crazy.

They just dish out figures to deceive the gullible.

The moment microphone was given to bulaba was when subsidy died.

Even importers still have to now pay triple for their next supply, same with retailers.

What do you mean. The figures are RIGHT. We are selling at new rate what we purchased at old rate

they said June subsidy was paid yet they are selling fuel at increased rate?

These people are taking Nigerians for granted and as mugus.

Before you add anything you will sha go to market with that same cash before you can bring it to ur station or plant......

Or you will take money from buyer before you go market....

What I'm saying they will still need to take derr gain to market to go buy goods first before they can think of gain...

Or you think Marketer will take dere extra gain from the 185 they increased to 500 and use it to eat they will land in bankruptcy if they try that they will still take that gain to market...

You're still doubling down on the nonsense you initially wrote, you have zero knowledge about what you're talking about, please shut up and stop embarrassing yourself further undecided

Stop thinking upside down..so, if they buy at a higher cost later, they'd also sell at a low cost? They're selling the old stock at the current rate at the moment. Many of them have tank farms which cant be exhausted in one month. Tinubu isn't as intelligent as most of you guys think. He should have said there would be removal of subsidy but they'd have to sit down and discuss with the marketers. Then he'd tell the stakeholders to allow them exhaust old stock and create artifical scarcity for a few days, then he'd have spent like a month in power. Suddenly, he'd just announce the new rate. Then the marketers would have been serial losers. He's only impoverishing the poor with that stupid speech be made. Who's now groaning...the marketers who are cashing out big time or you wey vote tinubu wey dey buy fuel for 500 naira a liter?

Oh you think so? Why are Nigerians not protesting against marketers selling old stock for high prices? The same marketers will increase it again! Let's watch & see. This is a very big mistake tinubu made, he should have waited for July before announcing subsidy removal.

people should be patient the price will drop, some are even selling 450 in my area now after initially selling 500
lack of demand will surely force down the price

Exactly!!!
The danger here is that these same marketers are still going to increase the pump price after July, no be this Nigeria. Tinubu was too forward making this announcement. He should have waited till July, allowing marketers to exhaust their stock before bringing this up.
