Lame excuse. Have u seen Russia border or Canada borders? If those are developed country check, Algeria, Tanzania, even South Africa borders that even harbouring 2 countries within herself.
The mindset of Nîgeriàns, is it same as that of Russians, Canadians, Algerians, South Africans etc?
The avèràge Nîgèrîan is very ready to troII his country while those u mentioned love their country.
If Nîgèrîans had loved this country since 1960.
We wón't be here today.

Nigeria is 900 thousand sqkm yet DSS claims to have ear in every nook and crany. Why not employ 20,000 personal and pay them N75k to infiltrate smugglers? That's N20b a year and about what goes to subsidy in a day or two. That same border suddenly became tight in security when it was time for closure and food embargo so why not against fuel smugglers?
Tinubu once asked Buhari to recruit 50,000 into the army so why not take a cue from his own school of thought and use to solve the problem?
Guy, subsidy don go.

No amount of wailing will bring it back..

The solutions to every próbIèm u all think u have it, just Iike Buhari thought he had all the solutions till he got to Aso Rock.
We have seen officers on less than 75k salary reject more so shove that crap back in your bum bum and across all accounts.

and the ones currently manning the borders are on N1m a month salaray right? Nonsense logic. Maybe every one earning less than a million naira should be sacked(the president inclusive) to guaranty every govt worker won't take bribe.

That's how rife the smuggling was. What are border patrol for.
The border is 4500km long. How many men do you think will be able to effectively man that length of border?

so how is it being manned against human, drugs, weapons, food and money smuggling. Look barkbencha. This removal will consume the man.
You guys have this rep of rubbishing anything that supports the maintainance of subsidy and any policy you like.

Not even America has successfully stopped human trafficking, drugs, weapons, food and money snuggling..
Last year alone US siezed over $20 billion worth of drugs that successfully entered the country.. In 2021, more than 2 million immigrants entered America..

So what's your point?

is it not to settle the 20 ppl you will put at one border with 10 million and business continues as usual
You will just enrich some customs officers but price will not come down

Nigeria has an over 1500km border. The farthest two States in Nigeria (Bayelsa to Borno) is just 1000km.
I'm sure you can guess when I'm going with this.
