Some persons are here to condemn easily when people engage in constructive criticism devoid of insults aimed at helping others who needs it. Don't rush to condemn them if you have nothing to offer. Here we can't change our salaries by the comments we make but we can get information that will help us change our status by asking questions without insults.

Salaries are fixed and nothing can be done to change it exist those who fixed it, but our status are subject to changes with the right information no matter how stupid you may think the information is.

With all the dramas that has played out, you will notice that nobody was insulted, be it the poster or the commenters. But it has helped to guide those who need the information. I repeat, you must not want what I want despite we are all teachers. Some people have already made up their minds to retire here as a teacher while some have already positioned their mind to leave the secondary school without looking back, only looking for the right information be it here or else where.

Your business must not be everyone's business, and when they argue, no put your mouth because you may be misunderstood.

Salaries will come that I know, be it old or new. But we continue to pray that the new one should come.

Una bye for now.

For those of you who doesn't know we're the disagreement started, it here on this very comment. I tried to point out the lies here where it reads " if you are done with your PhD, that your department will recommend you". Such a 21st century lies should not exist here. Do you how many did PhD in your department before you and how many enrolled for PhD with you? Rest we are happy for you and nobody can change it but no mis cap just to make it look say you de tell us wetin we know know.

I recently transferred my service to another arm of the service. For about 6 months I didn't see salary, while trying to sort it out, I met someone who told me when and how many months I was going to be paid and I was paid exactly as she said. She also told me that pending the decision of the governor that the new salary will be paid this month. I'll meet with her tomorrow and I'll find out the true position of things since voucher has been closed and I'll pass the info to everyone here. I hope and pray that teachers will be paid the new salary this month. 10 years on the job without promotion is neither easy nor good. You should be hopeful that you’ll be paid this month, you have every right to and you deserve it

Just look at the fat lies here, instead of saying you got a new job which enabled your transfer of service...... You willfully said you recently transfered to as if some of us are not abreast with what played out in Wilkes government. Lies de vex me, if I spot it out, I will call you to order. First thing first, you got an appointment as a lecturer and the school used her internal mechanism to facilitate your transfer. See no de wash us. Na all this your glorified lies make me drag you.

No need to make a mountain out of this. You got employed by the institution and the institution gave you transfer of service which is normal thing to do instead of resigning. Your previous message made it look as if you just moved like that.

To guide you further, it was not easy to get transfer of service under Wike cos I tried it and it didn't work. Those our colleagues that moved got the job first after the recruitment process. The school now used her internal mechanism to make it work faster. It's not about PhD or not. You don't know my qualifications.

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) may share up to N1.2trn as monthly allocation to the federal, states and local governments from fuel subsidy removal proceeds and sale of foreign exchange by July, but Nigerians may revolt if the funds are not properly managed to alleviate their sufferings, the Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives Company Ltd, Bismarck Jemide Rewane has said.
“Let me tell you what the two impact is. One, using a normal regression model will tell you that if by increasing the petrol price from N200 or so to N511, if the FAAC that was shared last month was about N712bn, and because the NNPC has more money to give to the dollar equivalent to the Nigerian government.

“Converting it not at N461 but at N751 our projection shows that the FAAC (Federal Account Allocation Committee) to go up from N710bn or N720bn to about N1.1trn to N1.2trn next month.”

Rewane explained that the decision has a huge impact on the earnings of Nigerians but for the government, revenues would surge.

For the economist, the citizens who are bearing the heat of the policies would expect the proceeds to be used to alleviate the suffering inflicted on them by the removal of subsidy and floating of the naira.

KPMG Nigeria projected that the fuel subsidy removal will likely push the inflation rate to 30 per cent in June 2023. Inflation rose marginally to 22.41 per cent May, 2023 before subsidy removal and floating of naira.

He said, “So, the question is that if all the governments in the country got only N710bn last month and now get N1.2trn this month, what are they going to do with the N1.2trn to have an effect on the welfare of the people?

If promotional salary is not paid this month, and no increment in our monthly salary, it will be a great injustice to all the state civil servant, because with removal of subsidy, and devaluation of naira, another set of hardship is at hand. More than 100% percentage change. New governor need to help the civil servant by implementing the new promotional salary and start the payment this month.

Removal of fuel subsidy means automatic rise in FAAC amount to be shared. Already Labour and FG have set up minimum wage commitee. I strongly believe things will not stay the same. If they fail to do something, we will rise and make a demand

A zonal director and her team of supervisors came to our school yesterday. After the normal ritual of supervision has ended, we asked questions on payment. She said, it has never happened that payment will come before promotion letter. That we ought to receive our letters before payment. That currently, our letters are been typed to the best of her knowledge.

Me,..... Let protocols change for our good. Am tired of this and that thing ooo.

SUBSIDY REMOVAL: RSG TO ROLL OUT TRANSPORT PALLIATIVE IN RIVERS STATE

...As Fubara Charges Labour To Embrace Dialogue

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara says modalities are being put in place by the Government to roll out transport palliative to cushion the high cost of transportation caused by the removal of petrol subsidy.

Governor Fubara disclosed this when the State leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) paid him a solidarity visit at Government House Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

Sir Fubara explained that the Ministry of Transport is already being engaged to introduce some buses to help reduce the high cost of transportation currently faced by the people.

The Governor who described the effects of the subsidy removal as temporary, urged workers and Rivers people to exercise patience as relief will come at the end of the day.

The governor said, "Rivers State is one of the states that have implemented the new salary structure, the state is in full practice of the new salary scale, the issue of pension and gratuity are ongoing, the records are there, the issue of employment is also ongoing, we are fulfilling our part of the bargain to take care of the workers".

Governor Fubara also stated that the Rivers State Secretariat Complex is undergoing reformation as challenges of water supply, security, power supply and other essential services are being tackled to enhance the productivity of workers.

Fubara further assured of providing a conducive working environment for both the public and private sectors of the state economy and urged the organised labour to work in synergy with the government to move the state forward.

He hinted that the confrontational approach of the previous leadership of NLC in Rivers State stalled the smooth resolution of issues regarding the welfare of workers, such as promotions, pensions and gratuities, but that is now a thing of the past.

The governor appealed to the leadership of the Union to always embrace peace and dialogue and urged them to be constructive in matters of policy as well as to make the state better.

"It's very important for labour to have a good relationship with any administration, labour can't work in isolation; it's important for the present leadership of NLC in Rivers State to work with our government".

Sir Fubara assured the Union of his collaboration in a bid to move the state forward and promised to look into the request of rehabilitating the Union's office.

Earlier in his address, the Chairperson of NLC in Rivers State, Comrade Alex Agwanwor, who led the delegation on the solidarity visit said the visit was to congratulate the governor and pledge their unflinching support to his administration.

The NLC chairman said the organised labour in Rivers State is proud of the emergence of Fubara, a technocrat and career Civil Servant as Governor of Rivers State.

Agwanwor urged the governor to create a sustainable avenue for labour and government to always discuss issues that will enhance industrial harmony in the state.

He said, "The Rivers State Governor is conversant with challenges of the public service, we want to appeal, that a regular interface be sustained between government and labour to foster industrial harmony and development in Rivers State.

I have been looking at this new governor carefully, he doesn't look like someone who will do wonders. His talks are too weak of a governor. Uptill now, he has not appointed Chief of staff and Secretary to the government. Is going to a month now, no policy plan at all. He was silent on promotion payment or implementations. Is it every civil servant take will take or enter the bus to work?

If you read the above press release, you will see that the promotion that is a special concern to the civil servants was not mentioned, unlike the employment that he said the process is ongoing, pension and gratuity he also said is ongoing. That of promotion and implementation was not mentioned at all. It was when he was apportioning blame on the failure of government ......on the former NLC chairman in the state that the word "promotion" featured.
