I will not waste my money sending my children to any P uni.... na waste of funds. This is one reason why poverty is so high in the country. Nigerian parents are spending too much on education.. Many broke Nigerian parents are sending thier kids to private unis, they will pay terribly with poverty for it. We have our problems in Nigeria, we the masses ar very bad managers. Instead of me to send my kids to this P uni, I will send them to publics uni, then use the remaining fees to bank roll my kids very well. They will be the big boys and girls in uni.. If you know, you know. 1 Like |

Biglittlelois: See who get money no dey send pikin go P uni.. We can't be envious.. What will we say about those schooling in first world contries.. Some of us even schooled there, some of us are legit citizens.. No every body they for the Nigerian quee. Sending kids to P uni is a waste... Average Nigerian parents are just waiting their money.... A reason poverty remains high in Nigeria.. |

Now that the Naira has been devalued, many of those students planning on going overseas can attend private unis here instead. I think private universities here should make sustained efforts in making them their enrolees. Is it possible for unis to engage in students transfers? |

One thing I know for sure is that quality education is always very expensive! |
Re: American University Of Nigeria School Fees (photos) by Gerrard59(m): 5:37am On Jul 13, 2023 |
LikeAking: You don't have the money. Stop talking like a foolish mad man. All this I will not do this even if I have the money. You just don't have it! So, those who are spending it don't have sense, abi? It is you that has one? If so, why have you not made money as well? BTW, tertiary education in most parts of the world is very expensive. The places where the fees are affordable have high taxes to fund the system, small populations and specialist universities with high academic standards. For instance, tuition fees in Swiss universities are low, but many drop out in the first year due to how tough the academic programs are. Lastly, there is nothing wrong with spending good money on quality education, especially during secondary school. The number of foolish posts and comments I read from many young Nigerians tell me they were poorly educated or malnourished when they were young. They reason so stoopidly! 1 Like 2 Shares |

grandstar: Actually, over the past seven years, private universities have improved in quality. This is especially so with Covenant University, Babcock, ABUAD etc. I want to believe there is a transfer program in those aforementioned universities since a significant proportion of their students are children of Nigerian diasporans. I recalled a girl who finished with a first class from CU has her family based in Germany. For parents who want to ensure their children live amongst people who look like them after spending their teenage years in the abroad, sending them to reputable private universities in Nigeria makes sense. In fact, with the foolish LGTV nonsense, better sending a child to Loyola Jesuit College over a public school in the West. Also, sending a child abroad to study depends on the country and the university's ranking. In my opinion, it is totally pointless to send a child to Fisk University or Hull University. Universities in Eastern Europe can be understood due to the affordability of their medical programs. But with the war in Ukraine, not all countries are worth it. Way better to send a child to a Chilean university, work in the country and obtain a superior passport than to Bradford University. As for the US, anything outside R1 university or the top HBCUs na money miss road. 6 Likes 2 Shares |
