How did they go about to become British citizens ..were they born there ? If they were then it's not a problem . But I THINK if they went through study route or the highly skilled
migration program they were doing years ago your friend may have a point .
I recall someone in the US was denied because his brother went as a student and didn't come back but a citizen now and the VO denied him and said he won't come back as well and mentioned that was how his brother left too .

That being said you may need to ensure you provide other ties apart from family that may help in convincing them that you will come back .

If you stay there, na free?? The person that became a citizen, na free?? Did he or she not pay through their nose to enjoy whatever they are enjoying??

Please I will need help with this question

I just got married to my fiancée last month ago, though we have been dating since last year august before she applied for her NHS Job in the UK. Towards the beginning of this year, she applied and after several interviews a particular trust sent her a sponsorship. I want to go with her to start a family there and we have submitted all necessary documents and awaiting there response.

What I failed to understand is

Can I be granted a visa because we have not been married for 2 years??

Please I will be needing your swift response

Thanks

Good day family.

Please l purchased my flight ticket in Cotonou through a friend, Cotonou to Heathrow but this friend who is suppose to assist me to cross the border and onboarding will be unavoidably unavailable due to official assignment to Ghana on the day i ought to check in and board my flight.

Please, i would appreciate advise and guidance on the easiest or safer route by road as i heard the chances of a stranger being robbed at the border is high.
Just hire a car from mile 2 or get a bus from mile 2 to seme border. Cross the border on foot and take a cab to cotonou. It would be advisable to go a day to your flight. Lodge in a hotel then the next day take a cab to the airport. You can look up hotels close to the airport online

I was told yellow card is important to be done most especially on Egypt Air. That if not done or fake, you could be turned back at cairo airport.

Please clarify how true is this.

My wife flew their airline 2 days ago and arrived UK yesterday safely, no issues. Go ahead.

When do you intend to travel? I can help you get a fair deal on the ticket price.

@Duchess90, Justwise and all the beautiful people here, I greet you all o.

Abeg this one is looking like a different dimension of the UKVI process.

I am the MA and I applied with my whole family, wife, 2 kids with my wife and one kid I had out of wedlock in 2008. Note his mother died yrs ago and prior to that time I have taken sole responsibility of him living under my roof. I paid for all his bills, he just finished Secondary school and sat for last Waec. His waec results are excellent. I got affidavits from him mum's father stating he has been living with me and they know about my intention of taking him along with other of my kids. Cause his mom's death certificate was issued from general hospital here in lagos.
In short I made sure I obtained everything needed for a child under single parent. Note my current wife takes care of all of my kids and pays all the bills through my naira account. I gave her my gtbank app and password with ATM too.

Now I am currently married with 2 more boys aged 1yr 5months, 3yrs and the one I had out of wedlock is 15yrs.

We did biometric on 10th July 2023, on the 18th my passport was ready as the MA.

The rest are still on DMC till this moment I am typing. So I got an email requesting that my wife come for student interview on the 14th being Monday.

My wife is a dependent, what could be the case and what should she be expecting to answer?

I have posted screenshot extracted from the email.
Also I am requested to respond to the email immediately.

Note: during visa application, I didn't know family pictures are needed, I failed to upload it, newspaper change of name I didn't upload too. I have all these here now with me. Should I attach it in the email as I am about to respond to the email for interview?
Receipt of rents paid together is here too. Our Facebook pictures posted since dating time till marriage and now are all there with time stamp.

Please how best should I respond to the email as I want to use this avenue to give them all the information I didn't upload since. Pictures taken in the hospital during birth are also online and chats we had since I was not in Nigeria for upto 2yrs.

I came in last June to apply with them.

Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all.

Hello

You don't need to provide any additional information

You only need to download Microsoft teams and confirm interview dates

Questions will be asked around her relationship with MA as a dependant

Either that or this was sent in error, in the email confirming interview dates, she should clarify that she is the dependant not the student and that you already have your visa.

You see the damage people have caused in scam relationships and advertising for dependants

You should be fine, please keep us updated

Another question is should the MA appear in the video conversation?

I want to sit down close to her on that day.

@duchess90

I have some questions on study gap & supporting documents, please pardon my inexperience with the visa stuff, I joined the threads late.

Finished NYSC 2021 and did a 1 yr internship until Jan 2023, after which I started the Msc applications

Do I need to submit a reference letter from the office I worked in during NYSC (still had some adhoc engagements with them even until last month)

Lastly, a professional license is only gotten after a typical internship, do I still need to get a reference from the hospital I interned to explain the study gap between 2022 till this year (my school didn't ask for this though)

Or can just the certificates for both (nysc & internship) support my claims

@duchess90

I have no idea!

I submitted my application on 17 May, 2023 and did my Biometrics on 19 May, 2023. I submitted my TB certificate, Data Analytics course training certificate from a course I did for 3 months from September to December of 2022, a copy of my Degree certificate, my IELTS score report, my Husband's pay slip showing he can support my family in Nigeria and I while I study ( Senior Pipeline Engineer at Shell Nigeria) and 2 letters (an Introduction letter and a letter correcting the mistake I spoke about earlier).

I had no idea I was supposed to submit documentation explaining my study gap so I was surprised when I got an email on 22 May, 2023 asking me to send documentation regarding that. I haven't worked in a traditional setting since I graduated from University in 2012 except for volunteering at my Mum's company from 2017 to 2020 and running my own business from 2020 to 2022. As a result, I submitted my NYSC certificate, and my CAC documents and business bank statements as evidence to support my study gap, along with certificates of courses I took for a year prior to September 2022 on modules in my Master's degree, my CV and github portfolio showing projects on Machine learning and Data Analytics with Python as well as certificates of Python programming and technical assessments test report sheets. ( they were 22 certificates in total).
I submitted these on 25 May and got called for an Interview on 2 June. At my Interview, I was asked 3 questions only.
1. Why did you choose to study in the Uk?
2. Why did you choose this course?
3. What are your modules?

To be honest, I am emotionally exhausted and even more so mentally exhausted. I really wish they could just give me a decision already. I put a lot of effort into preparing academically for my degree, it has to work out...

"Sorry for the long write up"

Dear Yaya88,

I feel bad about your plight. It is really frustrating and sad. I'm sure that it will have had a toil on your mental health.

From your post, I SUSPECT that your Visa application is stuck as a result of a "TICK-THE-BOX" issue.

What do I mean?

Let me explain.

Due to the fact that you submitted a lot of documents/details to address the NSF for study gap, the ECO/UKVI may feel obligated to confirm some of these documents/information. For example, out of the 22 certificates that you submitted, the ECO/UKVI may have tried to confirm whether many of them are genuine.

So the ECO/UKVI may have sent an email to some of the certication bodies in order to confirm the authenticity of some of these certificates that you submitted. Perhaps, some of these certification bodies are yet to respond to the ECO/UKVI, which is consequently leading to a delay in your application.

The ECO/UKVI may not be able to proceed with your application, because they may need to TICK the box that they have confirmed your certificates.

Please in future, avoid submitting too many details/documents. They sometimes raise more questions from Visa officers, and sometimes lead to delays in one's Visa application. The secret with UK Student visa application is to keep things SIMPLE.

I sincerely hope that your Visa comes out soonest. Challenges are part of life, and I am positive and optimistic that you will pull through this particular challenge.

Remember: tough times don't last, but tough people do.

Please, stay strong.
