Interesting, so what could possibly have gone wrong. Your funding wasn’t depreciating with the Naira.

Honestly I want to know myself. I tried my best to do everything in the application.

University of Limerick?

I got a refusal since lastweek Monday August 7th. Have not gotten my documents back..... Anybody in the similar situation?

Seriously this is messed up. They should send this on time so you can have time to appeal. The embassy needs to do better.

You said it as it should be said. Please additional emphasis on ACCOMMODATION. Let his friend ensure accommodation is available before relocation, particularly if he intends to stay anywhere close to the big towns, Dublin, Wicklow, Meath Kildare, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford and Louth

Better to do this with an Agent this time. You have gotten the refusal letter and seen the reasons right?

No I haven't gotten my documents ever since I saw that my visa was refused on Monday. You can't even begin to imagine the kind of mental anguish I've been since then.

I don't even know whose fault it is, the embassy or UPS. None have replied any of my emails. I am beyond frustrated.

But why now, it's long overdue by now. Can imagine your distress.
Don't lose your cool. Mail and call and drag any contact number or address you can lay your hands on for both the embassy and UPS.
This is wrong, for a paid service not free, even more so for something as important as this.
Stay calm bro.

Hello,

Did you submit your personal bank statement.

how much funds were in your bank statement?

List out all supporting documents you submitted in your visa application.

FemiJohnson29:
Hello everyone,

My Ireland study visa for my UG studies got refused on 24th of July due to reasons like finances and "I didn't submit my previous visa refusal" even though I did submit it to VFS . I also submitted my fully funded scholarship letter stating that the scholarship body will cover my tuition, accomodations, travels and living expenses, with receipts that all of these fees have been paid in full—full tuition, accomodations for 41 weeks, and health insurance; however, it seems like my scholarship letter and receipts that was submitted to VFS didn't make it to the embassy.

I submitted an Appeal last week Tuesday, August 1, and surprisingly when I checked the decision released this week I saw my application number with "refused"? Please how is this possible, it doesn't correlate with the "dates appeal received" on the website.

Hello,

I also got a fully funded phd at UCD.

Kindly let me know the supporting documents you provided for your visa application. My VFS appointment is tomorrow Monday 21st August.

Thanks

TeejayTCD:
Dear Colleagues,

I have been following this thread for the past two months. I applied for a PhD study visa for study at TCD and got the Visa approved in 3weeks and a day. I am on a paid stipend by SFI. I arrived Dublin on the 19th of November, late but didnt matter since my course is totally research-based. I never thought I'll need Nairaland to help, but I sure do now.

The cost of living here is totally outrageous and the rent is something else. I am presently in the Generators Hostel in D& and need to relocate to a more permanent and cheaper shared accommodation for the time being until I begin to get access to my stipend. Any help will be appreciated, also any body with good character and preferable a PG student may contact me so we figure out a way out.
Thanks.
Tunji

Congratulations!

Just to ask please, are you saying following their weekly date report trend, that yours came earlier than expected or you would have ordinarily gotten your response with the report for this week that hasn't been updated yet?

Congratulations man.

Please let us know what you did right so we can learn.

Were you self-sponsoring yourself or sponsored?

Did you use edubond?

What did you pay? How much did you submit in your financial summary?

What did you use as your ties to Nigeria? Did you deviate from your course of study? Please let's try to help each other by being active and open.
