Guys please my brother is going for a four years course and my father is the sponsor is a business man, but he initially does not have a business account but sudden he created a business account which is not even up to two month but funds of 15 million naira is in the business account and formaly has a savings account worth 25 million naira six months statement , but we intended using the personal saving account for the application, the issue is that based on these high dollar rate we intend transfering the money form the business account to saving account as lump sum and also pay the first semester tutution fee from the lump sum when. The money is already in the savings account to show that is not for demonstration purpose, please guys any suggestion to these

My Son Landing Update (to help guide others in line with our common goal of helping one another)

Took Air France from Lagos to Paris to Vancouver to Winnipeg (no transit visa required)

Air France requested for admission letter, letter of acceptance, school fees payment receipt and passport (with visa in it of course).

He gladly told me he was given his study permit without being asked any questions (obviously happy because we have over drilled him ready with so much questions etc.). Was told by the border officer to submit his passport and letter of introduction while other documents (POF docs) were given back to him.

His Port of Entry was Vancouver, so the experience may not be the same for everyone. Advisable to be over ready.

We thank God for a smooth journey for an unaccompanied Minor and we saw God's hands all over it.

Very good college with affordable tuition. That was my first choice but they didnt have my course of choice so I settled for macewan in Edmonton.

Sure you can go ahead and apply
Housing crisis and scarcity of student jobs have got nothing on you.

Hello guys

I just got refused for this reason.

This is the second time

I’m really tired for real 😞

How best can someone respond to this ?

Total Tuition Fee= 9k excluding scholarship
I paid half of the tuition and I also printed a proof of funds of 20m for a 2yrs course

Any advice guys

So sorry about this,
First did you tell them you have scholarship?
If yes good, did you put the documents that shows and clarify it?

Secondly your tuition is 9k
Two years is 18k
What of your living expenses of 20k for two years
Looking at naira rate now.....you paid half of tuition for first session(first semester) what happens to the remaining 3semesters?

Also what about your home ties ....and assets....are they huge enough to come back for? If you don't have it....use ur parent as home ties....use your work and church activities as home ties.....do supporting documents like letter of recommendation and notorized letter of good standing and commitment to a service

Interestingly due to short time between getting passport stamped and his travel, i was seeing one-way tickets at prices higher than 2-way. Had to book 2-way (with return fixed for summer holidays next year) for economic reasons and not border officers matter. I doubt if Border officers ask for your ticket (though Airlines share information with them)

joeyztime:
Thanks to The Most High for his safe and successful trip. If you don't mind me asking sir, I just my study permit approved and am curious if you booked a one way ticket for your son or a return ticket. My study program is for 2 years and was considering getting a one way ticket. However some acquaintances suggested I get a return ticket instead. So border officers don't give any issues. I would appreciate your take based on your experience. Thanks in advance

He is on the right track. In addition, provide proof of business registration and transactions—for example, invoices, receipts, contracts, Waybills, etc.

Good day everyone. What is the STANDARD numbers of pages for SOP or number of words? My SOP is 8pages and my immigration consultant said I should go and reduce it to 4pages cos 8pages is too much that no VO has time to read long sop
Please is 8pages too much for SOP??

Lol put yourself in the Visa Officer’s shoes. Would you have the time to read an SOP of 8 pages when there are other millions of applications to be reviewed. SOP isn’t a matter of how lengthy. It can be so long and unconvincing to the visa officer. I’d advise you make it shorter like your consultant advised.

Just be concise and convincing.

All the best.

Lagos seem faster now like before if you submit your passport through the UPS at VFS center.

They just moved to new office like 5 building away from where they are before.
