Politicians have succeeded in bastardising our traditional institutions. Why appoint a so-called pastor as king when he has to be involved in some idolatory cum traditional practices? It's antithetical!

Can a person serve God and still engage in idolatory? Or he will abolish our ancient traditional practices in the name of religion? This is the kind of confusion that weakened our traditional institutions and exalted foreign 'Abrahamic religions' above them.

This is absurd!
. You made some sense but a bit contradictory, our fore father's way of worship is not idolatry, it is the white man that termed it so, they worshipped God in a different way from the whites, if we had gone to colonise them, we could have termed their own religion idolatry too.

it's all about money,the came came back from US and gave all the kingmakers 10m,they were suppose to install the king since last year but dem use money blind them.

Actually, in England Christianity is their own traditional religion i fact,the Arch Bishop of Centerbury occupies a top protocol steps ahead of British PM in hierarchy in the UK.But here we only slavishly embraced same here ni during colonization.. Same can be said of Islamic Religion.

I can't believe I used to shun worshipping the God's of my ancestors because my early child hood religious brainwashing made me afraid that a White man in some heaven will reward/punish me.

What he said is the truth. I have been there and have met a lot of Ogbomoso people.

When you want to know who are the majority in town， check the faith of the ruling families and you have your answer. Even this article confirm that the new selected king despite been christian is from a largely muslim family. The chiefs in Ogbomoso and king makers are largely muslims. I know you guys like to claim otherwise but reality on ground is the reality and cant be changed by denial.

Note my mum is from Ogbomoso， from ”Aremole” house. My brother is married to a ladyvfrom Ogbomoso. Her dad is from “Ile Sarumi” and mum from ” Ile mogba”. I jave xousins from ” Ile Elemoso”

Oba Onpetu of Ijeru Ogbomoso is a strong Christian and a Pastor in the Same Ogbomoso . He does not worship nor bow to idols. So the Traditional chief in Council knows the implications of selecting a Pastor to be their King.
My view is that Righteousness is gradually coming back to the traditional stool in Nigeria when Jesus will reign supreme over the kingdom from the king to the people.

yes,I am related to the throne,so we heard all about it.the real person that was meant for the throne has been at ogbomosho since the day the former king died,he is not from my family tree,so I have no reason defending him but we should stop selling traditional titles
