The Labour Party, LP, has emerged as one of the biggest casualties of the ongoing State and National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal. https://.ng/2023/09/14/tribunal-judgements-upset-in-lp-over-massive-sack-of-lawmakers/ 10 Likes

All these massive judicial judgement against the LP are not unusual. All these unfolding developments simply confirms one thing- the criminal capture of state done in connivance with INEC and the judiciary. The PEPT have long set the tune. However, truth is always sacrosanct. 94 Likes 6 Shares |

This recent election – two things happened first of all. One party took over the labour movement, which is not my favourite movement, and then it became a regional party -Wole Soyinka Peter Obi and his ex-PDP conmen usurped the real Labour Party Nominees. The court is now kicking them out one after another, while PDP/APC are taking the seats. Blame Aburi for selling nomination tickets to highest bidders from PDP. 85 Likes 3 Shares

It's almost inevitable as the nomination processes were just buy forms and yhur names gets submitted to INEC. Buh then, it's not supposed to be an ISSUE as the party reserves the right to determine how it selects it's candidates.... These tribunals should stop being sentimental in justice. 5 Likes |

Lol well I guess they played into dere opposition hands since they can't follow the little electoral act... Some can still be reversed if is on how they're nominated some of dere candidate can still scape through since an outsider or third party doesn't have right to challenge how a Party nominates his candidate.... All the one with Rerun some will retain dere seat since the margin are much... 4 Likes 1 Share |

The source, PM news a propaganda machinery owned and operated by Bayo onanuga, a tribal bigot who should be serving jail time for the role he played during the last general election which led to the killing, maiming, destruction of lives and properties of a particular ethnic group because of their democratic choice 5 Likes 2 Shares |

I think it is due to last minute rush in without doing proper analysis of joining the party from the grassroots there by shortchanging many faithful and loyal members that have worked for the party for long, all these due to obi wave which is also due to post endsars opportunities that he grabbed with buhari non challant attitudes towards banditry and killings of christains in the north and bad governance from apc led government. Now everything is backfiring. 3 Likes |

LP is no different from the PDP and APCheats. You need to see how dangerously desperate many of them are.. They were smart enough to hide under umbrella of Peter Obi .. I'm only with Peter Obi, no LP... 2 Likes 1 Share |

Judiciary is dead ( including legislative arm of the government) in Nigeria and they will counter themselves (higher court will upturn the judgement). Judiciary is a big joke in my country. 2 Likes |

Nigeria is a crime zone. It's easy to sack an LP member, knowing fully well that it's somebody that has nothing and won election by people's support. LP won elections against strong and rich politicians. So it's easy for the rich men to go to court and pay the judges to favour them 8 Likes 2 Shares |

All the judgements followed the same pattern of not being validly nominated which the Appeal Court declared as an internal party issue and even fined Atiku for raising the matter in court since he is not a member of APC. I thought there used to be a law report where judges of lower courts used to refer to judgements of superior courts, our judiciary is no longer the last hope of the common man 3 Likes 1 Share |

These LP casualties have been predominantly in the East, a total of six from Abia and Enugu. PDP was the beneficiary of LPs casualties in the two states. The one in Eti Osa of Lagos is inconclusive, so a rerun will settle that one. Adegeye of LP was restored in Lagos and the other guy in Plateau, Dandereng Gideon was restored too. 3 Likes |

LP IS A THREAT AND THEY WANT TO ELIMINATE THE THREAT. THEY SHOULD PURSUE IT TO SUPREME COURT AND LET THEM KNOW SYSTEMATICALLY THE CORRUPT JUDGES ARE SACKING THEIR DULY ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE. THIS IS ALL TINUBU HANDY WORK, WE KNOW AND SAW IT. 4 Likes 1 Share |
