Awesome! Thank you Dallas for the honour. This is highly commendable and we urge other communities and especially Yoruba communities in the Caribbeans to declare Yoruba Day too. The sweat from the brows of our forebears built their societies and we will love them to honour our Yoruba forebears.

Oga face the economy you people should have conscience and stop distracting others

Waoh! The true way to go. Yoruba l'agba. Àsà Yoruba je wá l'ógún. Ilè káàrò o jíire, e jé ká so'wó pò ka gbé àsà was láruge! Forward ever backward never. A Yoruba nation that had been in existence and surviving on her own before amalgamating it with strangers that share no value with them. Yoruba nation will surely come to reality

Why do this guy's always find every possible means to showcase their inferiority complex.

The letter is just a letter of approval to hold a festival in their domain, which some other tribes/ethnic groups have been doing before now.
This is more like an approval which every ethnic group who want to celebrate their day or festival do to get the government of that domain to be in the know of such celebration.

Nna ehn, these people and unnecessary competition ehn.

Na today people don dey celebrate their days in other countries?

Anyway, congrats to the reasonable ones.

You are an idi ot honestly.

Such event is why the organizers of the one on the post wrote to the government of that domain for approval before celebrating it.

Be wise na!

Now this is the point , this is Yoruba day celebrations in another mans land , of course there won’t be issues , but if it’s Igbo day , some people will say “go to igbo land and celebrate igbo day” , on this tribal issue we are facing in Nigeria , we all know who started it , we all know those that generalized it , we had about 14 presidential candidates in the last election , but only one of them was referred to as a project for his tribesmen , supporters of one candidate insulted one of the oppositions , and the supporters of this particular opposition insulted the candidate together with his tribesmen , using statements like “ we will teach them a lesson “ what lesson ? Might I ask , .
Nigerians , listen and listen carefully , no amount of prayers , sacrifice , fasting or prophetic declaration will make Nigeria better ,
Lastly , politics is completely different from leadership , politics is based on lies , leadership is based on honesty and trust , if you don’t naturally trust your government , then what you have is just good politicians and not leaders ….
We should learn to vote candidates not based on their popularity but based on your discerning for them to perform …
This is just and opinion .

Exactly. We should be proud of our heritage and identity, rather than constantly borrowing others' culture.

White men know the things that gets Africans: tribal pride, religion, etc... So they deliberately gorge and flatter them with those things while they (the whites) focus on what really matters.
So many blacks will feel so honoured with this move, while the banters will commence about whose ethnic group have the bragging rights... The hate they feel for themselves will deepen and it will collectively cost them all that really matters like economic prosperity, socio-political stability, etc..
Sometimes, it is difficult not to see Africans as subhumans...
