JMG12:
A study visa is given according to the duration of your program and the expiration date of your passport. For example; if your program is 2yrs and then your passport has 1yr left it means you will be given a 1yr visa stamp because of the expiring date of your intern'l passport
Okay what of if my international passport is 5 years, can I be given 5 years visa. Also the process of getting work permit in Canada

The duration of your visa will be determined by duration of your program. If your program is 1 year, what do you want a visa beyond 1 year for??

Depends on the province some get PR if they have relatives in canada brother/sister etc...nothing to do with study route..but educational qualifications is a plus
VO may refuse study visa based on this ground..

Hello all, please I want to confirm something. I just got my study visa approved but the issue is that my school revoked my admission because of the delay. The admission was for this September 2023. My school doesn’t defer. So I now had to reapply for admission again to the same school and same course. I wanted to ask, if the acceptance letter is out by November (which is when they start giving admission) do I need to send a copy to IRCC to update? Also Can I send my passport for stamping by tomorrow Despite not having a new acceptance letter yet? Plus if I change my school to another school I heard I need to apply again for a new study permit. How does it work? Has anyone been in my shoes and had it sorted?

Good evening, send your passport for stamping and reapply to the same school and course and then update it. That is all you need to do

It may be difficult he needs to prove that he resides in canada..he may also lose PR status if he haven't been in Canada for 730 days in the last 5 years...unless a Canadian citizen..

Hi, I used Tuition by Flutterwave to pay for my Tuition fee, easy process and CBN rate was used instead of black market rate. saved me a lot of money i must say.

Hi Biomick, can you share a detailed experience? I tried to use Tuition by Flutterwave, but there was a section requesting the bank details of the school. How did you navigate it?

In addition, which option did you choose? Card or Transfer?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Lolaog: 9:57pm On Oct 04, 2023
Good eveninggg

Please I need urgent response.
I want to apply for my visa but I’ve been feeling iffy and here’s why.

My aunt and my dad are my sponsors, they have both provided all the documents I’d be using for it (bank statements, affidavit of support, letter of sponsorship and the likes). Frankly, I don’t want gift deed as my account isn’t the most active and it would be a very huge lump sum. My aunt has a larger share and would be sponsoring part of my tuition as well as living expenses.
Also, my aunt lives in the same province as my school as she is a Canadian citizen. I do not plan on putting it on my SOP that I would be staying at her place as I fear it would be a red flag.

Please someone help me explain how I can explain it in my SOP without raising an issue

Thank youu

Hi,

I dont think there is a section for school bank details. once you have chosen the school in the dropdown the next section is the amount you want to pay, then it would take to the sections where you insert the student details and then you pay. it is advisable you choose the transfer option because card have a limit of about N500,000/day for online transaction. once you choose the transfer option, a onetime account will be generated and then you can make the transfer (note that the account name when you try to make the transfer will come as your full name and "FLW". I hope this helps.
