Inter Miami forward, Lionel Messi won this year’s Ballon d’Or award by 105 points, it has been revealed.

Messi polled 462 points in the voting, while Manchester City’s Erling Haaland had 357.

The organizers have published the final voting statistics, including how every country voted for the winner.

Kylian Mbappe, Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri finished with 270 points, 100 points and 57 points respectively.

Messi’s win is the first time a footballer outside Europe has won the prize.

The 36-year-old has also now taken the prize more than any player in history.

Honestly as a Messi die hard fan, I don't even care about the balon d'or. We don win am tire. Messi himself doesn't even care one bit for it, and he says it all the time. What I find ridiculous is the constant wailing whenever he wins the award, and I find people who always wail about it or cast aspersions about it to be genuinely bad sports or mentally deficient. I am sorry there is no other win to say it. People who wail all the time that he doesn't deserve it and allege foul play about a process that is clearly transparent are simply idiots.
