"Sir, should I divorce or remain subject to this punishment for my infidelity? Or leave and start a new life without my family? What should I do ?

I am a married woman. I have no problems in my marriage. My husband had just been posted to another city. But I knew a young man when I was younger. We got back in touch. As chance would have it, we ran into each other one day when we were leaving the hospital.

We called each other regularly and saw each other. But I couldn't imagine it could reignite the flame still inside me. Unknown to my husband I told him out and welcomed him home. One day I introduced my husband to him. Everything was fine.

One day I fall so low by sleeping with him in my home. The children returning from school accompanied by my husband caught us in the act.

My husband and the children didn't say anything and my friend also left. Since that day neither my husband nor the children speak to me. No one eats the food I make. No child accepts that I even touch them for their shower. No one asks for my help with their class assignment. My friend also abandoned me.

I begged my husband for forgiveness but nothing. It has already been 11 months that I have lived as a stranger in the house. Their silence weighs on me. I told my parents about this.

My father no longer speaks to me. My mother occasionally only insults and calls me a harlot and stupid. I don't dare tell his family exactly. My husband also didn't tell his family.

I'm so ashamed of what I did. I broke my home. I do not know what to do"

Does your husband have a trusted and close friend or someone he respects a lot. Identify such person and assess if that person likes you or can protect you. It could also be someone in your church or mosque who can be very confidential and respectful of your marriage and husband.

If there is any one that meets the descriptions above. I will suggest you confide in the person and request that the person should help to appeal to your husband.

You need to genuinely seek his forgiveness and your children's forgiveness. Flee from adultery, respect your husband and protect him.

It is obvious that he can't trust you anymore. You need to start working on earning his trust and love again.

Ogar it easier said than done until it happens to you personally.

I'm a Christian and a born again Christian but I don't condone cheating of any sort. This kind of women don't place value on marriage. They Just feel they can do anyhow and it's nothing. Now imagine if you forgive her just like that, You have given her license to do more.

She even had the audacity to do it on her matrimonial bed. With disease flying every where. She can even kill the man. Such people don't deserve pity. She deserves all the punishment she's getting.

I like the silent treatment the husband and children are giving her. At least now she can perceive her own filth without stressing it to her and she knows she's on her own. This will teach her and others a lesson
At bolded, the man get mind o. The wife fit kpai am to cover everything. The man's family not knowing might seem good to protect his family, but puts him at risk. She fit kpai am before his family finds out. Because if his family knows first, inheritance wahala go shele.

I hope the hubby has done DNA test on all his children.

This is one of the disadvantages of not practicing celibacy as a young girl or lady. It weakens your ability to exercise self-control in the future.
Sleeping around just looks normal until it lands you into an irredeemable situation.

Why would anyone want to still keep contacts with an ex or a male bestie after marriage? Especially when you know you lack self control...

You should just leave that home because you don't deserve a home but to be out there in the gutters where you can freely live your useless life as you wish.

Since your husband has been silence and you have admitted that you are wrong. If he is a religious man you can approach your pastor or your religion head. He must have done paternity test on those kids....

All this against the women folks over adultery? What about the men who have practically made it a right to frolick around, messing up with even girls young enough to be Thier own daughters?? I disagree with this opinion of yours sir.women too deserve respect and honor at homes.if the dogs can .....then rabbits too can ,the lady deserves to be forgiven outrightly just like I expect her to be able to forgive her man if the ball got to be in her court.if we condemn this lady without looking at it both ways, then we are doing a serious dis service to the woman.
Men can do and have been doing worst abeg yet our women (on most average )have been managing them, even keepimg such secrets from other family members , Thus, let's ask oga and kids to forgive mummy ,given her a second chance after all God did same to us
bringing Christ to d world. MAY GOD SHOW US ALL MERCY.
JASONjnr:

Forgiveness is difficult when a woman you share your body with can easily be sexed.

If it wasn't for marriage and the kids involved, I am certain, the man would've ended the relationship long ago.

You don't forgive a cheating wife.

She will definitely do it again and again and even wiser.

If you must forgive the first time, be ready to keep forgiving her.

Imagine her saying "I didn't know it'll ignite the flame in me...." As if the flame wasn't already ignited the moment you both started to call each other "regularly".

Even though let's just pretend or assume as a human being you shouldn't have asked yourself why the frequent calls and all ....

Meanwhile, Mumu woman, where the young man dey now for the eleven years ? Didn't you see that his mission is already accomplished

And lastly, see her saying "move on" ...... Lol ..... Her moving on is going to go continue her imaginary relationship with that same guy who would eat and eat and eat and then gives room for another lady to show up, which in turn would now make this olodo to be far from him and yet, start praying for a man and falls again into another sex companionship till she realizes the reality of the street is harsh and she's nothing more than a sex object

Firstly, learn to ask yourself the BIG QUESTION; are you sorry because you were caught or sorry because you realized is wrong?

If he forgives you simply because you were caught then it's clear you'll go back to same thing. That's what we do at times to God. We don't confess because we want to repent, it's simply because we feel guilty and ashamed of what others will say.
The truth is, a broken trust is hard to rebuild, but then it's a possibility to build it back but it takes time and sacrifices to proof it to those that needs to be proved to. Let your husband know you are sorry, let him know you are ready to accept the consequences but then it shouldn't be the silence. When a thing falls, it takes a hand to lift it up, so remind him you have fallen and at this time what you need is a hand to pick you up and that can only be his hand.
I don't know if you are a church going person who honours pastors and don't know if your husband is same too. If you are or he is, then is easier to meet someone he respect (spiritual father who have sense oo because these days some spiritual fathers e be like them deh take shekpe before them sit for office) to talk to him since he ain't ready to talk to you.
But if you are not the church type, find a traditional ruler or any elderly person he respects a lot to help you talk to him.
Don't feel embarrassed to seek for their help. The did has been done so keeping it a secret when your husband ain't helpin you would only end up destroying you. Divorcing him will have a bigger pain and consequences than you would have stayed.
May God help you Ma.
This life, better to pay attention and get it right than going the wrong way then trying to find your way back. cry

hmnn it's bad enough that her family has already torn her down.yes what she did is very bad and traumatic for the kids because such image will never leave their minds for the rest of their lives but putting someone that's already down will do no good after all her family and associates have abandoned her

Madam after everyone including your children have forsaken you please look into Jesus the one who forgives and heals.i know suicide will be tempting for now but please don't give it a thought.cry to Jesus, ask him to forgive you and for the meantime leave that your home where you are because your husband and children will never see you the same away.now this is why I said you should leave

Nothing you do henceforth will ever be be good in their sight.if you like cook jollof rice morning afternoon and evening,if you like kneel down to greet your kids, the motherly honour that innately comes with a child for his Mom is gone.its worse when the child that caught you is a boy.it takes the grace of God for him to even respect you or take any thing you say seriously again

Again forget about advice.you can never advise them again or tell them what is right or wrong.they will never listen to you or take anything you say seriously.bottom line is that you have lost your kids forever

Another reason why I said you should leave is that your husband can never trust you again.lai lai.ask any man.if you just as much as say good morning to any man even if it's just ordinary basic greetings that there's nothing personal, your husband will think maybe the man sef don pen1s you.

Solution: just leave that environment and rent a place to stay and be asking God for forgiveness while giving to those in need, then pray for your husband and children to love you again.trust me life will never be the same with your absence in that family and it will get to a stage where your kids will miss you and begin to ask of you.it will take a long time for that to happen,it may take as long as 20 years but it will happen.even if your husband remarries another woman your children will still feel the void of motherhood missing.aside that when they get of age they'll want to marry so they will inevitably call you.but again pray.praywr changes situations and people

first of all, you are truly a harlot. God gave and blessed you with a gentleman as a husband.

Secondly, you are not sorry for your act. For you to even mention your lover has abandoned you, shows you lack self control. if the man calls for sex from you again you will still give in.
