Raskimonojendor: So, how come you put Davido last when he is the FIRST to crack American market with this new Nigerian sound (that has combination of pidgin and even vernacular) |

Ghanaians and inferiority complex mixed with jealousy are never far from each other, like a crocodile and the water.Their music is a bunch of trashy stuff, and the movies are worse, very nauseating. 6 Likes |

Raskimonojendor: I said the NEW Nigerian sound. Fall is the first such song to become wildly popular over there. Also, Sade was not a Nigerian musician in the sense Davido is. She left Nigeria for good at age four! |

PoliteActivist: Davido shouldn't even be there. He only has a nomination and it's not a win, yet. People like Sikiru Adepoju who used talking drums to win 4 Grammys should be there, not Davido with only a nomination. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Raskimonojendor:Smackdown! Yorubas of Nigerian descent in the global entertainment industry have been very stellar... winning the Grammy Awards multiple times since Folasade Adu (whose Professor of Economics father is from Ikere-Ekiti) won it in grand style in 1986. SEAL, Chamilionaire and others then followed. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Raskimonojendor:Ah, I get it now from the screenshot you attached... Burna Boy's maternal grandmother is a Yoruba woman. There was a discussion here on NL on the history of Rivers State ethnicities indicating that Burna Boy's father's ancestral folks come from the relatively small Engenni ethnicity in Ahoada West (domiciled close to the Ijaws) that is of Edo origin or migration from a few centuries back. 1 Like 1 Share |
