Racoon:
sad This is a very disturbing precedence. How can this shit be happening and citizens are behaving as if all is normal? Just imagine the unrest and constitutional crisis this desperate criminalization of the judiciary by the likes of INEC, APC and Gandollar. The supreme court too is also another useless institution
you think Kano people will be quiet, they won't, if supreme Court refuse to correct the mess, Kano unrest will be like fire in Nigeria and maybe the revolution will start from there.

Is Govt work this secured and mediocre? Someone made an error by typing a completely opposite court judgement and no one is sacked? The public sector is the steepest layer of rot in the Nigerian society

The judge or set of judge that signed the CTC should resign not just the person that did the typing, so the judge didn't read through before stamping and signing the documents.

Apc has captured the entire country. They are not interested in ruling well but want to grab and run away with power.

Lol.. Who does that? Why print 2 copies of different judgment in the first place?

LOL.. Judgement was for the highest bidders.
It's a waste of time going to vote, going out to vote is just making the process a little harder for them, that's all.

Keep your mouth quiet. People cannot make mistake again? What has this go to do with APC?
jmoore:
Judicial bandits.

When we said 'all eyes on the judiciary', the vultures said we are threatening the judicial bandits.

APC is a cancer to Nigeria's democracy.

Obviously a mistake was made and it is allowed for it to be corrected.

If the judgment was changed after being already written then why are those whose judgment was perverted silent??

People need to be reasonable sometimes, unfortunately because there is a political axe to grind, they won't.

Odinkslu is a learned person and one expects him to have a better understanding of the issues at stake in this matter. He is obviously being mischievous for reasons best known to him. I wonder why he will just trash the conclusion of the judgment without taking into consideration the body of the judgment which resolved all issues raised in the appeal on favour of the respondent. Clerical errors abound in court judgment and this is not the ist time. Let's stop overheating the polity.

Every revolution starts by protest, And that protest is going on in kano state now.

THE REVOLUTION WILL BEGIN FROM KANO.

APC has hijacked the judiciary.

Only a fool will believe it was a mistake.

Any serious law student especially those in the law school should take note if this question (expo) by Prof Odinkalu:

The Court of Appeal in the Kano governorship case resolved all the issues "in favour of the appellant & against the 1st Respondent." Yet it found the appeal lacking in merit & liable to be dismissed. Explain!

What likely happened was that the judgment was written off the back of a previous judgment. This is a word processing error. It is similar to writing a letter off a template but remnants of the template still remain.

. The panel first presented a judgement in favour of NNPP but when discussing the judgement with the AC president and the AC judges of the division it became necessary to change their judgement after views and ideas were exchanged.
Appeals are first discussed by judges before assigning judges to handle them. The judgement will also be discussed before the final one will be made for the public. This takes place at the SC too .

Disappointedly the copy sent to the Registrar contains the position that has been jetissioned by the AC. What a gross and careless manner of handling the matter!
As to whether money is involved is another possibility.

The judgement read is sacrosanct and valid in law.

See ipob rabits ranting judiciary is corrupt upandan even without evidence. I feel ur pains trying to hold to any straw to explain ur failures in politics.
But u guys are very corrupt as well in business, in private life etc. eg u sell fake drugs killing innocent people. Which corruption is worse than that.
U only scream and cry when it doesn't favour u, but if the corruption favours u, u will smile happily to the bank.
Change shld start with us in our private lives.
Re: Kano: Appeal Court Asks Lawyers To Return Certified Copy For Correction - Odinka by RisenObinna: 10:11am On Nov 23, 2023
Since our judiciary is this corrupt, then Nigeria is dead. What's the hope of a common man in a country where justice if for the highest bidder?

Those who rejoiced when some persons were fraudulently handed power thought it's a good thing so as it hurts the feelings of those at the other side of the divide but they're wrong. Sooner, and sadly, we all gonna reap what they sowed.

And until it reaches you, keep rejoicing celebrants of corruption, forgery and fraud.
