Its a stronghold. More than 60 percent of Nigerians have this mentality. The fear of tomorrow. Thats why you see politicians steal , civil servant also steal public funds. Because of the fear of i may not have it tomorrow. Is a very indication that Nigerians generally have this mentality
That's why the most corrupt politicians and public office holders are from poor backgrounds.

I concur to the last one because I am seeing it happening before my eyes in my compound. I am on my own living my life while people feeling so intimidated by my existence. Whatever I do they want to do it but when they can’t continue doing the same they result to beefing and showing aggression towards me. The envy and jealousy is so obvious. Now I fear poor people as my neighbours.

The worst is those up coming poor yahoo boys, they prefer contributing money to rent a flat in an expensive compound where they would be feeling intimidated by other people living peacefully on their own.
Move out from there

Before they use envy and jealousy to woundinjure you

I would agree with most. #2 ... "Saving the best for Last" I believe the opposite... a poor person would go for the best first. A plate of rice with 3 pieces of meat ... will the poor first go for the rice or the meat?
#5... "Valuing Possessions" ... I believe anyone ... rich or poor .. who had to work hard for what they own would have a personal attachment to the stuff. What I do observe about too many poor people is that ehmmm .... we fool ourselves by attaching our status to the value of our possessions.... and take every opportunity to flaunt it.... the reason we see sooo many "poor people with plenty money".

The real poor ones... always be getting orgasms when talking about or seeing the rich. Mention Dangote .... the word billionaire will immediately drop from the mouth of the poor.

1. Concerns about Food Security: Constant worries about food and nutrition might stem from past financial difficulties. People from such backgrounds might struggle with weight, have an aversion to wasting food, or develop poor eating habits.…CONTINUE READING

2. Saving the Best for Last.

Leaving the best part of a meal for the end is a habit developed from the anticipation of scarcity. This way, the most enjoyable part is savored for longer.

3. Reluctance to Splurge.

Individuals who’ve experienced financial challenges might delay non-essential purchases, adhering to a “delayed shopping” rule to ensure they’re spending wisely.

4. Working Hard for Small Earnings.

Growing up knowing that consistent income is essential, even if meager, can create a fear of job loss. This fear motivates them to work hard to secure their livelihood.

5. Valuing Possessions.

Developing an attachment to personal belongings is a common trait among those who’ve had to work hard for what they own.

6. Yearning for Miracles.

People who haven’t experienced financial hardship may see winning the lottery or hambling as a way to attain happiness. Those who’ve faced destitution differentiate between urgent needs and unrealistic hopes for miracles.

1.:Anxiety about food is a complex psychological issue with little to do with poverty. It can be related to parental anxiety ,especially maternal,. A parenting style that offers a crying infant comfort predictably with the breast or bottle can end up creating problems in later life.
These issues can be transmitted from one generation to another in recognisable patterns.
Mothers end up giving children food or sweets instead of attention and that is why there is a lot of childhood obesity among rich folk and the Western world.
Anxiety in later years could manifest as anorexia nervosa.
2. Saving best for last? What does that mean?
3. Reluctance to splurge? No. Actually that is what poor people do. They always splurge on what they cannot afford or do not need.People raised in wealth who understand money do not need to buy the latest IPhone
4.Working hard for small earnings. This sounds quite dumb. Who chooses that ?
That is the reality of life no one will make that choice. It is like saying poor people are short

5! Valuing Possessions. You are contradicting yourself self. Who said rich people don't work hard? They work hard to get rich and work hard to stay rich. What does valuing possessions mean?
6.Yearning for miracles is down to illiteracy and superstition. The more educated the population the less of that you see.
Rich Nigerians yearn for miracles when they have challenges. That is down to a superstitious mindset fostered by Pentecostal churches and Islamic clerics

It's only frustration that can cause an Engineering undergraduate to do his I.T in a Police Station. God abeg o.

Nothing Bad!
A Financially PRUDENT Person must learn how to spend his or her money.🤨🙂

Imagine some Peeps doing 25K salary Jobs but renting Self-contain or 2 Bedroom Flat of 200k or 300K Yearly. 😒😒

Is there any WISDOM in it? 😕🙁

Being poor isn't that bad but being poor, and at the same time being a black African Muslim and living in West or Central Africa is the worst thing that can happen to any human being cry

7. Entitlement mentality

People born in poor homes usually believe that they are entitled to the money and possessions of the affluent ones around them.

8. Lack of Appreciation

Poor people are usually ungrateful and can go to the extent of blaming their benefactor for their woes even when they were miserable long before he/she came around.

9. Belief in Juju

Poor people relate every single positive/negative occurrence to the spiritual. They also believe success is attained by juju because they were born into a home where nothing big happened no matter the level of effort put in.

10. Competition

Poor people are highly competitive. This is because they are easily intimidated by everything. A neighbour laughing in his apartment can cause poor people to bring 3 of their lousy friends to disturb the vicinity the next day. A neighbour bringing home a chick for the night can lead to poor man bringing 3 dirty skanks for the next 3 days. The worst is you having anything they don't have. Poor people can compete against a 5KVA generator with an I Pass My Neighbour or their hire purchase Keke Marwa against a 4Runner jeep. When poor people can no longer compete they resort to gossip to try and destroy the reputation of the person they lost to.

Before you fear women, fear poor people.

If you continue like this, you might not be able to function after a while, election have come and gone, don't let hate make you into a person you can't recognize.

The president is not the only elective position in Nigeria, every state have a governor, 3 senators, and lots of both state and federal house of representative.

Buhari was President for 8 years, all the streets in Lagos are littered with his people begging to eat, if you can help, help! We are humans before anything else.

Some rich fools still behave like those on the list, this is general Nigerian narcissistic madness. I know a rich guy that kidnap a normal 9-5 middle-class guy, for ransom out of malice ,envy and greed, they want the little you managed to acquire for years even when they're rich, very gluttonous and dangereous society.

Solutions should be provided.....what's the way out of poverty?
Re: Six Habits That Prove A Person Was Born In A Poor Family by purples25(f): 9:09pm On Nov 23, 2023
What I know is this...whoever is beneath you understands their situation, and they are angry. They don't want you to condescend and be friendly with them, they don't want to come up to your level, or worst of all, have you raise them up. They don't want to improve. All they want, is you beneath the soles of their shoes. They feel humiliated by you, by what you have that they don't have. They not only want what you have...they want you to be in their position or worse. They don't want equality, they want to be the oppressor and for you...to be oppressed by them.

You see big rich people staying away from the poor people. It's not always pride. The world is wicked. Many are waiting to pull down the so called pompous rich or successful people.

If you've ever lived amongst poor people, notice that they are experts in things like gossip, glaring 'eyeing' others, and sharp hurtful words. Why is this? Think about it, they don't have any other way to retaliate when someone shatters their fragile ego by having what they don't have.

Before you feel like a hero, a philanthropist, know this.

Sometimes ... sometimes...the poor person doesn't want your help, he/she wants your head!

The easiest actually

Best part of meal generally refers to meat

You will see some people finish every single grain of rice in a big bowl without touching the meat, they eat meat when they are 'fully done' with the main food

I just think this is huge part of the poverty u highlighted here....I think best of a meal is what u really yearn for in a meal, some people go for periwinkles, etc.

Your desire in a meal may be the most affordable sometimes, affordability gets u joy u desire tho

When they are in your house under your care, they can serve you Eba enough to feed 3 people even though you told them you want small. The portions are ridiculously large and would frustrate any weight loss journey.

It is a dead giveaway.

If the girl you are dating does this repeatedly, even when you have complained incessantly, it is a dead giveaway. The reply would be "Just leave the one you can't finish."

It comes from a history of having little to eat and over appreciating it when they have it.

The only thing that can temper such behaviour is to travel overseas to an advanced country for some years, where food is surplus and even wasted and people are economical with food sizes. Also, a society where you can't use meal size portions or chubby body to oppress the hungry horde. It is usually the poor in these society that suffer from obesity the most.
