Firstly, she should have been rushed to the hospital, instead of being taken to mortuary. Some Nigerians who have been pronounced dead were not clinically dead and could have been saved with better emergency care. She was probably unconscious and presumed dead until too late.

What A Terrible Bad News

To be honest, it's such a hard place to be for both the driver and the bereaved.
On one side, you're out on your way unaware of the tragedy waiting to strike. Then you hit a person at night where you can easily flee uncaught, amid all the adrenaline panic rush. You suddenly realize all the possible troubles lying ahead:
Police cramping on you,
The crowd massacring you,
Your young family, and all that

If all that don't creep in, you think the economy is gnawing on you real deep, how are you going to afford all bills of an emergency patient at the hospital if you decide to take the hit person there. The possibility he or she later die and you have to foot all those burial and entitled bills her/his family requests of you.

All this thought in a split second, while you could just run away to salvage yourself, but the person's life will pay for his/her fate. All you'll pay is guilty conscience the rest of your life. You could also even avail that if you have a cold heart.

Honestly, waiting behind in an accident scene is tough. Most don't and won't. May we never be found wanting in that position.

So pathetic. Beautiful. Eyes lifelike but the person is gone! May God Almighty have mercy on her soul amen! We are just like chaff before the wind. No substance.
