Yes. But its usually applied to the soil(planting hole and nursery bed) prior to planting.

Furadan is OK. But I have not used Velium prime b4. Why didn't u make profit? Did u sell at giveaway price or?

if you even got your initial investment from the farm, that is God by your side.. I remember my self and others telling you, you may not get anything from that farm, well I'm glad you now have the experience.. next time when doing cucumber without provision from driptape it is best you target the raining season.. then you'll still have to deal with fungi bacteria and all sort of nonsense the rain brings.. goodluck on your next adventure.. I wish you success.. remember failure is just an opportunity for you to start afresh.. it is never the end..

Stop being economical with the truth. I wish we got to see the project after expending further treatments. Nevertheless, hope it was really worth the experience? But take note, it even becomes tougher using same piece of land to farm cucumber again without putting necessary preparations in place. And like someone rightly said, your first planting should always be the best.

Furadan can be applied like NPK. The amount to apply is written on the product.

I will like to know if u got some bitter- tasting cukes? Curved fruits can be due to lack of enof water (u irrigated manually right?), too high temperature and poor pollination (did u kill off pollinators with pesticides?). Just learn from ur mistakes and move on.

Ok tnks. I've not have any problem with them yet. May be the lizards in ur backyard had little food to keep them busy. My own farm is in a bush with enof food for them.

it took 12 able body men to plant 30,000+ seeds from 7am to ,6pm,now imagine to transplant cucumbers on such land size,I can't even dream about such work talkless of doing it,if the land is prone to rat attack get the most foulest smelling organophosphate mix it high concentration and spray after planting the smell will chase even demons away from the farm.

Sure, it is well sir and i have to commend your effort in starting up the project and i'll gladly follow up on this thread with your updates on the progress.
But however I have my reservations concerning your plan to keep your budget below 500k for the cultivation of an Hectare of cucumber plants (at this period of the year which you know too well that the dry season is just around the corner and the rains is now getting ceased in some areas where farming activities is being practiced.) but I believe if God is on your side then your project will turn out to be a success going by your plan.

Pls, what of insecticide that contains Imidacloprid? The insecticide I use contain flubendiamide and thiacloprid. I alternate with thunder (Imidacloprid). I only spray in the evening though. Should I use emmamectin benzoate instead?

I used imidacloprid too @ 5ml per 16L. It kills cuke beetles unlike emmamectin and abamectin
