Performance is another... In terms of drive performance and "individual" quality you can't compare a Lamborghini to an audi for instance.

I’m currently using a 2013 GMC Terrain after using various Toyota models since 2011. And I can confirm that non of the Toyota come anywhere close to the GMC

Well @OP, firstly, each car model is made to cater to the needs of a particular targeted consumers and as such, there are hardly any car that will tick all your boxes meaning that you will be forced to trade off one thing for the other. Also despite this, many car brands have produced horrible car models at one point or the other while many brands are notorious for churning out expensive garbage (e.g Range Rover, Ford and many other American car brands) Some vehicles are built mainly for performance while some others are built with reliability as the main focal point. Volvo are renowned for solid build quality and customers’ safety (they are very conscious about your survival in case of accidents) while many Toyotas are known for reliability and economy (corollas). So mr Op, cars are different and there are bad cars/models/makers.
I wouldn’t advise my enemy to buy most of these German cars (e.g Benz and BMW) Korean cars (Hyundai and Kia for e.g) American makes and this is just to mention a few. You might be surprised that I mentioned Benz and this is to prove to you that cars are varied and far from being the same. Benz, despite being known for luxury, ostentatious designs and smooth, rich driving experience, they are hardly reliable. Do I need to add that they are not for kids? (maintenance-wise)
Just pray you don’t jam possessed car , you will easily earn yourself a PhD in mechanical engineering in no time. That’s when you’ll realize that gambling, drugs and adultery combined is child’s play compared to bad cars

The question here is, Would that range rover do same if it were in England or America.

LOL. Anybody wey talk this never use problematic Range Rover. My friend bought a 2016 Range Rover with low mileage in 2018 but the car was nothing short of a nightmare.

When I was getting my car. People discouraged me that i shouldn't blah blah blah, that I should have gotten a toyota.

I didn't want to get a toyota because of the rate at which it's being stolen. Can't park my car somewhere and be restless about it .

I sha bought my car and honestly, I have been enjoying it. I have done repairs here and there which is normal to me due to wears and tears. Maintenance is key .

My car still moves fine. There isn't any fault it has that I don't know about or how to solve it. I have my scanner to scan anything. Then I have a good loyal mechanic that helps

The major reason why people keep having issues with their cars is because the average Nigerian buys a car which is 10 years and above.

Imagine driving Camry big daddy of 2005 in 2023. Or Toyota Highlander of 2002 That's 18 - 21 years after manufacture date. The mileage would be extremely high, mechanic would have touch touch the motor taya. It might have gear box issue, oil leakages, shock problem...etc.

Then you now talk about our bad roads, and quack mechanics. This is why it looks as if some brand of cars are bad.

I doubt that, your GMC might seem perfect to you but Toyota is the most rugged brand of car, that is a japenese brand
If not that benz has more elegance, superior interior and top rated wheel balance i won't give it number 1

there is an annual report of car breakdown and repairs in America. Consistently some brands and models have fared better. Quality is not acquired, but built.

Stay the f*ck away from any car with CVT transmission. any Nissan car/suv 2000 - 2021.

Nissan yeap agrees. Mazda make sure it's v6 then you will be fine. Question why do people in Nigeria always look for 4-cylinder cars? With constant use of AC, you need a V6 to minimize car RPM.
