Op might be the kind of people that will sit tightly inside the car and tell the pump attendant to put 35k fuel while they form big guy inside the car without monitoring the dispenser
that's exactly what happened, I pity those peeps that will sit down while the fuel is being sold...I never make that mistake.

He was cheated either by the pump attendant or the meter has been worked on. Ideally 35k fuel at 600/L should do almost a full tank for any Nigerian, anywhere where inside Nigeria.
infact 25k dey full my eod 2004, not to mention 35k .

As we enjoy this yuletide season let's us beware of this fuel stattions and their antics. The fuel wey I buy for 35K at N600/litre no even reach half tank!! how nah!!?

Please be very vigilant of these fuel stations during this period, especially in Ibadan.

You supposed to tell them that you will never pay. You should know your tank capacity and let them realized there's no way you will pay air. However, if you didn't turn off your engine before they refill your tank, it used to bring such an error but will return to normal guage in few minutes especially if you later turn off then on

I'm sure OP knows this fueling station 🤔 or you don't intend going back to this fueling station?

I won't let this slide if I'm in OP shoe oo đź’”

N35,000 Ă— 1liter/N600 = 58 1/3 liters. 4 liters = 1 gallon..so divided by 4 is about 14.58 gallons. My Toyota Camry at Full tank is about 17.5 gallons so that should have been close to Full and more than 3/4 of your tank. You have been duped, scammed and stolen from.

Ibadan have the worst filling stations in Nigeria.

I used to think it's Lagos till I met ibadan stations.

You hardly see correct pump in that city.

12 liters will not fill your 10 liter container.

LOL....

As for me, when I was a child, I always noticed my parents came out of the car to watch the dispenser like hawks anytime we bought fuel. I just assumed it was the normal way of things and did likewise when I started driving.

Sadly, the cheating has already been done before you even start watching them. NO NIgerian petrol station dispenses exactly one litre. None! Take that to the bank

his fuel guage needs reset. Maybe put the car off for a while for it to regulate. No fuel attendant will take as much as dat from anyone, it's so noticeable.

You see the tricks those fuel attendants uses when you are not at alert in the queue.
They will sell fuel to the customer queueing before you at 2k or 5k.They will ask you how much fuel do you want to buy. When you say 10k,they will insert the fuel pump into your car fuel tank and continue from where the they sold to the previous customer.
I have caught them twice when I went to purchase fuel in my 25litres gallon.
He had to turn the fuel back into the reservoir and start afresh.
Even their managers or supervisors are aware of their fraud. They have a cut in the illegal deals.
This is why I drive a diesel car.No queues ahahah

Very true.

Using my parents as example again, it got to the point they were buying from one single filling station because, in the words of my mother, 'they didn't try to cheat us'. (Years ago).

My brother, this is Wat I can afford for now and I hope to buy it by mid 2024 by God's special Grace

I dont let any “Prophetic” word put me under pressure when my process is still on!

God won’t be circumventing process because something sounded “Prophetically appealing”

I won't allow motivational speakers deceive me to claim a 2024 model as my dream car when I know I can't afford it for now. Faith alone is not enough 🙄

That means, you will need like 140k to buy full tank? Well, sometimes, the gauge malfunctions and give wrong readings. I've driven a car like that. It took Me some time to realise it. After I had rain curses upon curses on some petroleum stations and attendants

What kind of car are you using?
What is the name of the filling station?
Last Sunday I bought 20K fuel to my Highlander 2004 model after showing fuel light, after selling, the fuel gauge pass half tank.
I bought it at Northwest filling station at 600 per litre.

this thing you just said now I have been in a gathering where a fuel pump attendant was replaying his exploit on how he defrauds buyers using this same tactic you just explained, he sometimes connive with drivers of big men and corporate bodies to sell fuel worth of 50k to the driver, issue receipt of 75/80k the two of them share the rest

the station managers are aware of these things
This is the reason I only get from northwest stations. I also keep my ignition on to see the fuel rise.

Total yes. I was right mentioning that franchise. Attendant do not program sales on pump before dispensing. Such a package can work there.
