AllenSpencer: Covenant University is ranked higher than other universities because it is well funded. It has a conducive learning environment and world class facilities to support learning. Of course, the source of funding is an open secret. Whether students are allowed to use mobile phones or not does not improve their status. It only paints them like an extreme institution with the potential of producing extremists. 3 Likes |

AllenSpencer: A school environment is a simpler example of the larger society and history has proven that one of the foremost things abusers do is to disconnect their victims from the outside world or closely monitor their communication with others. Think of why the Supreme Leader of North Korea banned phones in the country. The major reason they're denied phones is because of their authoritarian founder and totalitarian board. The students are disconnected from any support system outside the environment. For example, If a lecturer slaps a student, there would be no recording. Students will also be oblivious of what is going on in other schools and would not be emboldened to ask for better welfare. If students were allowed to use phones, we'd know the true status of the mass poisoning that has been reported. However, since there are no phones, any report the school management issues to the public is final- exactly what North Korea would do. Dictatorship should not be supported. That is why we're lending out our voices to the students who deserve better. Lexy2014 Lifeinlight 1 Like |

AllenSpencer: Wotoporiously speaking Best University in Nigeria on paper. As expected cuz it's governed and attended by the children of people with interest, as if graduates in other schools don't deserve to have jobs, abi are they not qualified? This things are happening everywhere not only in Nigeria, so make we leave too much talk. |

MavisEleanor: If it makes them the best, I support dictatorship! If dictatorship can churn out such quality of graduates, I am 100% in support of it! Imagine if all Nigerian universities where churning out same quality of graduates, Dangote might not need to recruit such amount of Indians. 2 Likes |

Streetmovement: Left to me alone, if I were to make choices, I will only call graduates of that school for interviews, cos I am 100% certain I will get what I am looking for. I won't even bother calling-up some graduates of some schools, I don't care whether you the best there or not. I just don't want to waste my time searching for the best! 3 Likes 1 Share |

With the speed the narrative changed focus to lack of phones for communication, I suspect it is being orchestrated to put pressure non the school management and make them change their minds about "no phones. I hope the staff members using phone weren't affected by this "food poisoning". Probably due to their use of phones. 1 Like |

MavisEleanor: In what numbers have they achieved such considering the age of Covenant university? If prohibition of phones has been working for them, why do you feel they should change their standards? Oh! They should learn from UNIBEN, OSU, LASU and UI since they are getting better results than they do? 1 Like |
