Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by BabsO2(m): 11:31am On Jan 29 |
BullBearMkt: Looking at the trends of FCMB price and underlying growth in earnings and Book Values over the last 10 years . Shareholders selling it anyhow below current prices based on perceptions of previous prior year low prices will be taking a loss. Especially if the economy continues on a growing path in Naira terms plus if bank assets are not severely damaged but safeguarded from poor lending practices. 2 Likes

stcool: You may be right, that's assuming he is bent on making the delisting happen. I don't think he is bent on it. He may have considered it due the brouhaha of the shareholders that wanted to exit. And he looked relieved they exited. |

BabsO2: The people buying and selling don't have the same investment objectives. Some are trading to make a few coins by 230 while others may be buying to keep for dividend. What about those who may be selling to pay their rent, buy a new car etc. Their entry prices and targets are equally different. That's the psychology of investment 5 Likes |

yak: I won't bother myself debating the credibility of this write-up or that of the writer. One thing is sure, articles like this are not unusual in a bullish environment in stock market. Even analyst adopt this strategy by pushing out negative report about a stock or market to create panic selling providing them opportunity to enter at a good price. So, with the index showing resilience and prices on a stratospheric rise, more of such articles should be expected which will create re-entry opportunity for smart money and discerning traders including investors. 4 Likes |

More have joined the queue to mop at maximum quoted price for today. Let's see if it's not the gra gra before the next court case date that we are seeing on the street again |
