You sanction the rogue nations, then you discovered you are actually the one at the receiving end , you lift sanctions out of shame to save your face then tag it humanitarian ground. 5 Likes |

Will this make the trio come back? I doubt. And even if they do, does it mean the coup leaders will be accepted as legitimate? So why all the initial show of unnecessary force? Smh |

ECOWAS saving face claiming they are lifting sanctions on humanitarian ground. Truth is, the three countries eyes don open. They have realized the bondage they were being under France. The carrot from Russia though a poisoned chalice is tantalizing. 2 Likes |

fergie001:That's a brilliant move. It's the stuff of what international negotiations skills should be about. De-escalation is not weakness. The next point is to REVERT to democracy as soon as possible for the benefit of all and work together on ways to jointly deal ruthlessly with the Islamist insurgency affecting major areas of the West African Sahel and the climate change issues leading to the constant criminal herders attacks on hard-working farmers. Kudos to ECOWAS. |
