He charged us for the services and we paid expensively for it. Unfortunately, he couldn't make it to UK due to the school inability to issue him CAS because it was late already. Now we are talking about collecting the school fees back, we were advised to open a domiciliary account and ask the guy to send it in pounds. He refused and said he will only send the amount we paid to him in naira, we didn't pay him in pounds. Please what do you guys think?

I will advise you not to claim any right here because if tomorrow the exchange rate falls you won't be demanding payment in £.

You paid him in Naira and he is to refund in Naira.

He said he will only give us the amount we paid for school fees in naira as at last year in naira. We don't know what to do because the school may not accept another account.

Ideally, the man should return the money in the same currency the refund was made. He could charge you a fee for transaction charges or his service.

In my opinion it is dishonest of him to claim your foreign exchange gain by sending you in naira if the school returned the fees in GBP

Browse schools outside London with good fees payment plans .. they tend to have lesser fees and accommodation is cheaper... But job opportunities aren't that much as compared to London..... and finally Reohampton is a bit on the high side

Whats 10m naira? You should be looking at 40m.
How do you want it plan to cover the rest fees? House rent? Feeding?

I'll be legally working my ass out till December this year.
From my research so far, Uni. of Reohampton accepts that you pay 2500gbp as a part of school fee before you are giving unconditional admission offer. Last week, I checked that 2500gbp is equal 3200usd...I'm already working to earn that figure in USD.

For accommodation, I have talked to a few persons and shared accomodation is allowed and somewhat available...that should be around 300gbp per month. If I'm able to pay for the first month, I'll patch up to pay for subsequent one.

On remaining tuition, once I'm in the UK, it will sort itself. At least my grandma told me before her demise to always believe in my abilities.

My major concern where my 10M will be going into is visa application, medicals, POF, flight ticket and some other miscellaneous.

I can make this happen.

Truth be told so many schools are on distress in UK due to Nigerians, india not turning up. universitiesy are now marging to overcome the stress. Others are now closing department, sacking lecturers to remain afloat.
Schools are now asking students to pay all their fees upfront immediately they arrive. This was not so before.
I kid you not. Things are not the same in UK as they are in recession right now.

They asked school management to cut their expenses and salaries etc rather than look towards the lecterers.

I have guys in tech who can't even land a job interview in UK despite having the same years of experience as me. Menial jobs full Chile snd easy to find. You can even do Uber eats and other delivery stuffs. You can pretty much do anything you want to be honest.

I didn't spend up to 10 million and it covered my full tuition and a year of rent but I am sure that now it will be like 20 million. Studying here is completely in Spanish. Most IT jobs require people who know English though or bilingual in Spanish and English. I am surprised that people can't even get interviews. Omho if you can't even get interviews it means there's no hope of even getting a good job. I mostly apply for jobs here like once a week. Most of the interviews I get here are from recruiters hitting me up on LinkedIn.

My question is - do you calculate the pof with full 9 months (680 *9 = £6,120) or you calculate with the remaining months to complete the course in my case completion date is september 2024.
