They had two options at the beginning of the saga and none involved the police.

1. Just keep quiet and allow her review go down quietly without saying anything or doing anything.

2. Reach out to her immediately. Offer to carry out an investigation. Invite her over for a facility or factory tour and even ask her to meet the CEO.
During the joking moments, let the CEO offer to give her some paste and ask if she can cook with it for everyone and let all management team eat the food together with her. She will gladly accept that offer.

Get some camera and capture the whole moment. Make sure it gets to the network news and let everyone watch the moment she does the cooking and the CEO as well as other management staff eating with her on a dinning table. I don't know since when seeking redress legitimately using the court becomes a Draconian situation. The company did not harrass her with thugs or other illegal violence means. The matter hasn't been decided yet. If she is in the right, she should put up a defence for her case
This is a case of corporate bullying. Some section of the sentimental masses trying to bully the corporation (Erisco foods) into submission and that must be rejected by all legitimate and legal means.
If cancel the company, I personally will actively look for their products and patronise Erisco products because there hasn't been an investigation to show the company lied in their labelling or that the ingredient contents of their products doesn't tally with what was stated in their NUTRITIONAL FACTS.

Last time I checked, Chioma is a Nigerian same as Erisco company being Nigerian company, NAFDAC and SON are both Nigerian federal regulating bodies on products made in Nigeria (and passed for consumption for Nigerians). Nafdac cannot pass for American consumption what's produced for Americans, by Americans (or outside them) for the purpose of good American living.
