FG, States, LGs Share ₦‎1.123 Trillion In March by ogododo: 8:08pm On Apr 19
The Federation Account Allocation Committee has disbursed a total of N1.123tn to the federal, state, and local governments for March 2024.

The allocation, derived from a gross total of N1.867tn, marks a critical distribution of funds aimed at supporting various government tiers.


States to get N5.5tn FAAC allocations in 2024
This was revealed in a statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Ministry of Finance, Mohammed Manga, on Friday.

That's about $1 billion to maintain 36 states and FCT made up of over 220 million people. That's peanut! We can do better if these people can diversify the economy and help businesses in the country.

Out of gross total allocation of 1.86trillion, that's almost 2trillion. But wailers are saying Government is paying subsidy.

Exactly

People think it is that huge a money. But No it isn't. Apart from few states like Lagos and Abuja. The rest will use it to pay salaries with little or nothing else remaining for critical infrastructure and the likes

The best is having true federalism with a percentage being sent to the federal government.

We need states that can stand on their own as they need the money most and not sharing Peanuts every now and then

P.S. I am not saying the Govornors too are not thieves,but most of them have their hands tied already
