BlueRayDick: If the list is a joke, and you have little faith in Nigerian rating, then you do a cross reference. This is from Times Higher, help me check any Nigerian state university above LAUTECH? https://www.timeshighereducation.com/student/best-universities/best-universities-africa |

popizaino: What is Times Higher? Times Higher is just some random educational consultancy organization. Do u know how many of such organizations release their own respective rankings every year? I can go on the internet and bring u a different ranking from another of such organization. There's even one called "Center for World University Ranking" and those ones even had a more reasonable methodology and ranking system that is more relatable than this Times Higher sef. See ehn, I'm asking u what do u think LAUTECH has done between last year and this year that makes them a better University than OAU? Is it the employability of their graduates? Is it the papers published by their scholars in academic journals? Is it their researchers breaking records with their finsings in sciences ? etc. |

BlueRayDick: “The table is based on our new WUR 3.0 methodology, which is carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across five areas; teaching, research environment, research quality, industry and international outlook.” https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/covenant-ui-futa-emerge-top-universities-in-nigeria/%3famp#ip=1 Whatever methodology used was not done in secrecy and in fact, it is open public criticism. The interesting part is both schools are in SW. I mean LAUTECH and OAU and also sharing lecturers. If the list was a joke, with joke methodology then would have raised concern long before a random NL arsenal fan that is still basking on the euphoria of his team victory over Chelsea. |

Ibime: Nope. He has a firm mandate to take the rate to the sub-$1000 region. So he'll keep trying. It'll cost him more money this time around, but he has carte blanche to do whatever it takes. To back my assertion, he did try to peg the rate through the familiar $10K per BDC allotment this Monday. That had no effect on the market. The EFCC blocked hundreds of accounts to rattle the P2P segment yesterday. That did nothing as well. Next week and beyond they'll make new moves. Ultimately, I'm of the opinion that market participants may make way and let him move the rate to 700 or whatever his target is. At this point, there will be a speculative attack on the naira. And the foreign investment houses will join in. A Millennium--the hedge fund--trader made $40M on the Egyptian Pound in March. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-03-14/millennium-trader-scored-40-million-windfall-in-egypt-fx-plunge He often made about $50 million in annual profit for the Wall Street bank by trading the Egyptian pound as well as the Nigerian naira, the people said.At sub-$1000 (the lower the better) when it is near unanimous that the naira is overvalued, folks like these will join the party, the FPIs will turn off the tap (it's a small club), and Cardi B will be like a deer caught in the headlights. -Lord 12 Likes 5 Shares |

They said the high rate of dollar was responsible for increase in price of goods and services . The dollar rate subsequently decreased but rather than price of goods and services reducing, they even increased further. I’m so happy that the dollar rate is increasing again now, fvck patriotism. A high naira has absolutely zero benefits to us. I’ll be the happiest man on earth if the naira can crash to 5000/$. If this can happen I’ll vote Tinubu till infinity. 1 Like |

If Tesla doesn’t close ties with Musk they might fall further down. I don’t know what Musk is on about with his constant fight with different governments and organizations, I wonder if he values freedom of speech over money. He’s letting his fortune sink over silly shit. IMO he should learn from his fellow business owners, and stop interfering with governments, if not they will fvck him up real bad. If Musk can shut his mouth, and stop involving himself in certain things, I believe the man has the potential to be the first trillionaire in history.
