imag5: . First congrat on your admission but to tell you the bitter truth I will prefer you to choose PE and make sure you come out with good grade...have seen many chemical guys no job...their job market is small compare to PE,please just go for PE and make the best out of it you smile at the end of the tunnel,if you have money when you finish you can go directly to Texas for master and you will smile....last bullet pls stay away from girls concentrate and make me proud..one love....read,cram,and don't forget God makem1.1 or 2.1

thanks alot...., i got 266 in d psp. thou i checked for my name on the recent admission list but it was not their....... ama try later. wat did u get in d psp and which school admitted u?
Ezegozie:

Unizik pre-science admision list is out.
So u can check urs.

i heard you say certainly gain admission to study chemical engr in unizik through pre-science, its like ur pre-science result is very good?

I also did pre-science in unizik, though I got admision through Jamb.

Eventhough i am a zikite, I will advise you to go for Petroleum Engineering instead of waiting for unizik admission that is not yet offered.
as i said pre-science admision list out, so you can check yours and know how "CERTAIN the CERTAIN will BE" .

I didn't pass Pre-science.
Though i got admision that same year in UNIZIK through Jamb to study the same course i put in pre-science.

266 is a very nice score and judging from my set in 2010, i think its enough to give you admision in Chem Engineering.

Maybe ur competitors (people that put Chem Engr) scored so fantastically.
More reason why you should consider to accept the admision in the place you have been given

Reading this thread shows there is a massive prospect for Nigeria in GIS (Geographic Information Systems). Most contributors here have no idea that they can get their career balanced properly with a certification from Esri Nigeria.

In this industry as a whole, there are two notable divisions:

1. The field
2. The technology

As you look into the future, you begin to realize that the Oil & Gas / Exploration / Geographic industry has evolved so rapidly.
You do not have to be "on the field" to do your job anymore.
Now, you can have a more rewarding career using "new technology" to capture, explore, and decide for those on the field.
Thanks to software expertise, we can now move from any side of the industry to the field without stress.
Most softwares are available now more than ever - and the best part: they are here in Nigeria.
The most amusing part: the technology is easier to learn, and in today's world rewards you more!

Make careful enquiries and you will find a rich solution to grow your career.
We thought it necessary to contribute positively to this pool of great minds.
Warm regards,

Lucky is an understatement. They are God sent. I've never seen people so committed to work like them.

it seems that the higher i go, the lower my GP becomes.

I have never got more than C in any course thought by Dr AU OKOLO and Dr okeke (Pa- hoe-hoe).

Pls as somebody that graduated from the same department with a nice result.
What do i need to do that i am not doing to increase my GP in dis final year i am about to enter when skul resumes?

I ask because i just have one year left to either come out with 2nd class upper or lower.

And i cant afford to graduate with 2.2, i just cant afford to do that because all eyes are on my GP now.

And currently if
if i have an "A" in my just concluded IT, i will have an average GP of 3.65 before my final year is added.

If i have "B" in my IT, i will have an average GP of 3.48 before my final year is added.

Please what should i do, because each time i remember this, my heart will be troubled.

i need nothing not less than 3.5 as my final CGPA

. All you need do is to go on your knees in prayer and also sow a dangerous seed telling God what your heart desire his and coupled it with reading, In this your finals be radical to your book, read like it your last,Set a target nothing less than A in this finals and you will smile mark my words you will smile. I was once in your shoe when I was in school ,imagine making 4.8 as final year gp only, would have made 1.1 let's say the way I was mad in my book in finals I did the same in year1 and 2,though I made a strong 2.1, 4.0 cgpa..cheers

@image5, thanks for this, @Ezegozie, i wouldn't have said it any better. all you need is commitment, be serious with your studies, study like u've never done before, set a target for your self as image5 said, like i always did, each semester i always assign A's to all my courses and made sure i worked towards it both spiritually and academically.

please dont develop hatred for any of your lecturers, cos if you do, it will surely affect your grade, cos you will lose interest in such course.
Also, make sure you attend lectures and on time too, so that you dont miss any impromptu quiz or free marks,do your assignments too, most of us think that these assignments and quiz dont add up, that's a big lie cos they do. Avoid back seats, these our lecturers have eyes, they know students that attend classes and in most of their meetings they discuss students, and it will be a very bad thing if lecturers knows you as an unserious student.

This has always been my quote "never let your schooling interfere with your education." Mark Twain. Avoid too much parties if you are the party type, our school is always bubbling with parties but dont be carried away. You wont believe it if i told you that i never attended any party throughout my 4 yrs in school, maybe cos am not the party type. All still boils down to setting a goal for your self.

Get fully prepared for an exam, by reading with friends especially the bright students in class, get close to them, ask questions on courses you find difficult, interact and answer pass questions. You need to see my room during exam periods, my friends will carry their bags to my hostel, we study , ask questions and study pass questions at the end we all come out successful, my roomie who wasn't a geologist admired us although attimes we piss her off with noise wink

i can go on and on.... but my dear it still depends on you cos, genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, you have to work extra hard, is not easy but at the end you will look back and smile. ciao cheesy cheesy

Hope this will help. Remember "YOU ARE THE BEST OF YOUR KIND, AND YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO, IF YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO IT.

1. stop being afraid
2. confess your victory in Christ Jesus
3. believe your confessions
