Bro You hardly can find anything above 7% in any bank.Trust me i have got little experience,u can also verify by yourself. The calculation even depends on the amount and duration of your deposit.e.g 100000-1m for 3months 3.45%,1m-10m for 3month 4.35% etc. Many banks do not even do 3months,they do 6months min.Trust me #100000 isnt worth fixing for such interest rate.I work for AgriXon Commodity trading ltd now, used to work for UBA.I will like to let u know about our investment plan,of course,if you are interested. This should not be taken as a source of livelihood but trust me it is far better than most Banks(if not all,do not want to exaggerate). We are actually into Agricultural produce e.g cocoa, sesame seed ,sorghum,Peanut, soy bean, palm kernel/olein etc We buy commodities from local farmers and we sell locally to Multinational Companies like Nigerian Breweries,Guinness etc and we export Sesame seed, cocoa, soy bean. Our Return on Investment(ROI) is on quarterly basis which is 10% (U cant get that from any bank, verify) and the investment duration is a year which means u have 40% ROI annually which will be paid every 3months while your principal cash is retained. At the end of the 12th month,U can decide to withdraw your Principal cash or renew the investment plan. Our corporate office is at 149A Iju road, Beside Conoil,Fagba,Ifako Ijaiye,Lagos. Our Registered office is at Plot 8 no. 31B Owode Estate,Apata Ibadan. We also have a branch at Switzerland AGRIXON (EUROPE) SARL,Rue Sismondi 15 1201 Geneva,Switzerland and another at Canada. If you make up your mind to come to our office in Lagos,You can ask for Mr Olayinka Taiwo from the Front Desk Officer or call me on 08034331920,of course if you are interested.www.agrixon.com

Why not invest in NTBs that are risk-free and yields around 10% p.a?You also get your interest upfront.

@fegflu...pls lets try and learn to use good words. If you read my comment very well,i didnt say there is none but it is hard to find a bank that goes above 7% and if i may ask u 7.5% on 1m for how many months? Most likely for minimum of 6months and that is exactly what i am saying.
@Suyamasta if i may ask u,did u visit the registered office of the so called Scammers or were they just some road side business men? Did u take your time to find out about them, their partnership with Banks or government, their suppliers and all? I am not forcing anyone to invest pls, just disseminating an info. Thanks

I buy tbills with UBA (my bankers). you can buy for 3 months (2.5%), 6 months (about 5%) or 12 months(10%). they give you the interest immediately and the the principal after the (3,6 or 12 month) duration.

this wrong, very wrong banks and investment houses reserve the right to give any rate the want, could be higher could be lower. Bring a million and we will fix it for u at 14% in the investment house i work with for a year. Please stop passing wrong information to people.

I do have a diamond bank HIDA that pays upto 9% ,why I don't like it is it's convenience of withdrawal just like a regular savings.

Union bank does 24%, I'm really serious.
Re: Which Bank Has The Best Rate For Fixed Deposit Account? by Adesiji77: 11:39pm On Oct 10, 2014
The answer is relative-the bank with the lowest fixed deposit rate today may become the bank with the highest rate tomorrow. It all boils down to the focus/strategy of the bank in question.

This is impossible... what is union bank's ROI?? .
Re: Which Bank Has The Best Rate For Fixed Deposit Account? by wisdompraise(m): 8:42pm On Oct 16, 2014
Hello.... My people! I hope you guys know that this so call percent from banks is not calculated the normal way we calculate percentage. For example, if you fix 100,000 for 180 days (6months). Your actual interest at the end of the day will be 3042.2535211 which is actually #3,00 0 at the rate of 6% from banks.

If you want to know how is calculated; Whatsapp 08064434353.

Now, this dude beats me to the point i actually wanna make.

It is much better you invest your money in a business. Imagine the paltry sum to be paid as interest.

7,000 as interest on your 100,000 in a year?
