Can we resuscitate this thread again? Africanapple, paretomaster, jbluv55, silkmoth33, etc. I need clearification on this: in some instances, "ni" is used for "I" while in another instances "na" is used for "I", so also, "ya" and "shi" for "he". Why is it so? What determines which one to use?

From my own understanding,

Ni = Me
Na = I
Ya = He
Shi = Him
