Once you don go dat kind place finish, when you enter better place later like dem western countries, dem go grill you die for 'point of entry' immediately dem see for your passport say you don go the place -to be precise, dem go grill you like prospective/ probable drug mole. Lol I bn no even know say country people dey reach that area

Am a Nigerian but I don't lie to myself when I know the truth. where, when and how is the corruption going to end? within the masses there is unimaginable level of corruption not to talk of the government. If we successfully eradicate corruption in government, what about our own individual corruption! would you want to stop a bad cause you gain from? ask yourself this.

Am I free of corruption?

Funny enough the message that Nigeria is now ebola-free is not getting through.

A recent report put out by WHO that every workplace is running with in the UK rates Nigeria as a "high risk country".

If I go to Nigeria today, my workplace will not allow me back in for 21 days - that's the policy that's been put in place this week.

I'm surprised with some comments am reading here . Nobody mentioned Lagos State or Rivers State why? I thought EBOLA is only in both states not Nigeria as a whole? Just asking.

If Nigeria never had Ebola, many of these Nations would have in any case exploited the disease in West Africa as a pretext to ban flights from Nigeria. It is fashionable to have a dig at Nigerians, the weird Africans you cannot ordinarily look down on because they are the ones who like to do the looking down on you instead. That aside, they are doing what they feel is good for their Nations. Nigeria should do the same if we have not already and ban flights from Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. Meanwhile we should do all we can financially and manpower-wise to help those Nations.

Colombia's Foreign Ministry issued a brief statement saying the country was barring entry by any travellers requiring visas who have been in five African nations with Ebola outbreaks -- Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Senegal. It said the step was being taken at the recommendation of Colombia's National Institute of Health.

Meanwhile, St. Lucia Prime Minister Kenny Anthony said all visitors from Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone were prohibited from entering his country until the Ebola outbreak is brought under control, saying the ban will minimize chances for the deadly disease to be introduced by an infected traveler.

He said an outbreak of the virus would be devastating for the country of 200,000 people, where tourism accounts for more than 60 percent of gross domestic product.

Passengers from a fourth West African nation, Nigeria, will be required to present a "recent medical certificate" clearing them of the virus, Anthony said. Specifics of how this might work were not immediately provided.

Nigeria is free of Ebola and more countries should be scared of US or Spain..Than Nigeria.... My Opinion

1) OP you're deliberately misleading by making your title inflammatory. Nigerians do not have a travel ban to Colombia, they are simply required to present a recent medical certificate.

2) I support any sovereign nation that protects it's citizens. Nigeria should use these actions as a learning lesson on forwarding thinking countries and leaders that place the safety of their people ahead of everything else. Colombia is a tourist driven economy so they have to make sure that tourists continue to come and visit them.

Kudos to Colombia.

The Colombia thing is not racism but yes racism still exists, especially on Nairaland between the Igbos and Yorubas. But only from the knuckle draggers of both tribes though.

Be quiet! Why don't they ban Americans too since Ebola has gotten to USA? Columbia did not ban Nigeria when they had the Ebola virus raging but now that Nigeria has been Ebola free for 40 days and counting, they deem it necessary to ban Nigerians? Anyways, let's look at the bright side. Colombian drugs will go to other countries and stay away from Nigeria's streets.

On a side note, go and change your name to allagainstNaija because you are a hateful halfbreed drug-addicted bigot. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

I like that and I hope my employer does the same in the US.

I have a coworker that is there now and I am very apprehensive of when she comes back and my actions without making her feeling defensive.

I'm not shaking hands nor am I using the loo on our floor for 21 days after she comes back at least.
