Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has described the Alaafin of Oyo as an enigma with unparalleled passion
whose fatherly role and uncompromising commitment to peace, development and equanimity remains a
source of inspiration.
The governor gave the remarks in Oyo town at an interactive forum organised for corps members from the
four local governments (Afijio, Atiba, Oyo-West and Oyo-East) that constitute Oyo Federal Constituency.
The forum was part of activities to celebrate the 76th birthday of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
“Kabiyesi has always taken into consideration the safety and welfare of the people and will never
compromise their tradition, culture and development.
“We are celebrating the flagship of royalty, intellectualism, embodiment of knowledge and traditional ruler par
excellence,” Ajimobi said.
The governor, who did not hide his joy for the monarch’s support and sincerity of purpose for his
administration, prayed for Alaafin’s good healthy living, long life and prosperity.
The governor also used the occasion to declare his intention to contest for second term in office.
Adeyemi, who thanked God for what he described as his divine, fulfilled life, highlighted some of his
achievements on the throne.
These include provision of scholarships from his personal purse to 120 persons to study courses of their
choices at the University of Sokoto now renamed Usman Dan Fodio University where he was appointed as
Chancellor for three consecutive terms.
Others are sponsorship of over 60 persons to universities across the country who graduated with Doctoral,
Masters and First Degrees as well as transformation and unprecedented development of Oyo and its
environs. thenationonlineng.net/new/ajimobi-kicks-off-second-term-campaign/

ajimobi has no second time. why would anyone want ajimobi back.

did ajimobi win the election in 2011. the answer is no... ajimobi lost in 2011..

in 2011... ajimobi did not know how he became governor in 2011.. if not for emperor ademusiwa , the man call ajimobi will never had be governor of oyo state.. but ajimobi was unfaith since he became governor..

Did ajimobi know how he became governor.. he should go and ask Emperor ademusiwa.. and since they went to insult emperor ademusiwa.. emperor ademusiwa refuse to endorse ajimobi... oyo need new governor.

I can guarantee you that unless something else happen, he can't get 10% of the total vote, the tide are really against this man, he has messed up the mandate wrongly given to him

PDP now have the perfect term for a functioning administration. They now call all opposition "Elitists" because obviously they have transformed their states.

If PDP shud field Seyi Makinde, then Ajimobi's own is finished, dis guy will beat Ajimobi in his polling booth. The only mistake dat PDP will make is to field Teslim Folarin, and if they make the mistake den Ladoja will be favoured cos I can tell u nobody will vote Ajimobi or Teslim. I can even tell u dat if PDP fields any of Akala or Seyi Makinde and definitely Accord will field Ladoja, Ajimobi will emerge 2nd runner-up in the election.
