Jebba - Mokwa Road. Where are the contractors by Ymodulus: 10:38pm On Oct 19, 2014
8hours of pain, 480mins of suffering, 28,800 seconds of sorrow.

I do not belief in the existence of Hell fire as religionist paints it. However I must say that if there is anything more hotter than fairy tale Hell fire, then it is the JEBBA - MOKWA ROAD from Kwara to Niger STATE. And I have been there. 22:09 Military Time, 10:09 local time, Sunday 19th of October 2014. From a cold mild beautiful sunset to a boring, regretful day. From happiness to sadness, joy go sorrow. This has been my ordeal as I ply the road heading from Lagos Down to the North via the Jebba - Mokwa Road.
Before I go on , I am Ymodulus, some call me psycho but you can call me the Man who is on the road to Hell and is yet to be out.

JEBBA Experience
I got to JEBBA around 1:49 Pm, I was excited on hearing from the driver that we are on the JEBBA - Mokwa road. Reason for my excitements are not far-fetched. 1 for the fact that I felt I was close to my final destination and secondly I have always reamt of seeing how beautiful thing road I as Paine by the Minister of Works on an AIT Raypower Show called Political Platform. Note that am an addict listener of the radio show political platform on radio fequency dial of raypower 100.5 Hz abuja. And the issue of federal roads have been one Amaechi Anakwe, has been really hitting on. He has interviewed the Minister of Works in person of Mike Onolememe an in all interview, he has been speaking wonders of major road along the federation like the Benin - Ore , Lagos - Ibadan, Kogi - lokoja, JEBBA - Mokwa road. Am not here to tell you about the kogi lokoja road, no am here to talk about the JEBBA - Mokwa road.

1. I can vividly recall The minister of Works saying the JEBBA - Mokwa road has been awards and its 80% near completion. This I heard with my 2 ears not that I was told, no. I heard it from the Minister mouth my self. I was happy and felt the Minister is working but to my greatest surprise today cleared my eyes. All the figures or percentage quoted by the Minister are all false. I am on the Jebba- Mokwa as at this Time of posting making it roughly 8-9hours all because of the Poor state of the road. What I saw with my eyes I asked if the contract the Minister said was awarded is spiritual rather than physical.
2.I cant categorically say I have seen the best of the best roads in Nigeria, I have been to 33 states in the federation this year alone and I can Boldly and categorically tell you that what I know for sure is I have seen the worst Road in Nigeria.

Acts of the Law enforcement Bodies.
If you ask me anyday i will say only Police fficers collects Bribe. But today i learnt that even the Army do, but in a big way (N500). Federal Road Safety workers all sitting and laughing eating Pop Corn and one stupid fellow asking for Bottle water from the driver. Local Vigilantes men asking for N50 or any form of tip. Boys on the road repairing the road blocking it until the driver drops some form of bribe. Let me not deviate as the acts of the law enforcement agencies are not my reason for writing this, but the state of the road and the lies been heralded by the Minister.

Solution Available
Drivers are going back to follow a place call Jaji. Now at Jaji they will pay some ferry me sum of N1000, after which they drive the vehicle on top of the ferry and the ferry will cross the water to the other end of the river bank and journey continues.

Lastly
I have vowed never to ply the JEBBA - Mokwa Road again in my life time. I will rather revert to the former option (flight). Its easier and no stress. Just that these days Aero airlines are acting funny. Increasing ticket fare from 25k to 36k on the queue not on their website.

Pardon me I can't write in full as am on my Mobile phone. Also forgive me of all grammatical errors as I can't screen proof at this moment. Below are some pictures I took before my phone was seized by a military officer and he deleted some photos off. I learnt a lesson never bring out your phone close to the military Dogs they are beast. Right now am at the JEBBA federal electricity generation Plant. All cars brought to a halt.
I will have to stop here my battery is 6% and the Xiaomi power bank given to me by Initialize is dead. It proved it worth today. Here are some photos. Am to upload 30photos but if they are not up to 30. Kindly know that my phone is dead. And till I get to my destination, may be Tomorrow or next I will upload more and if you hear no more from me. Then know that I died on the JEBBA - Mokwa road

Bro! This ur headline brought unpleasant memories. March 7th 2013 I was on that road. I'd left Paiko en route Minna- Bida-Mokwa-Jebba to Ilorin. I wept! I lost two tyres! My AC compressor got spoilt. Engine seats gone! I was at the mercy of those trucks and the sahara-like sand dunes! Worse still no fictional ATM on that road!
Honestly that road is the worst anyone can ever drive on! Is simply a nightmare!

Right now am at the JEBBA federal electricity generation Plant. All cars brought to a halt.

Reason: Hausa truck drivers and Soldiers battling. The military men bursted 3 tyres of an Oil tanker (MRS oil ) and they Hausa guys vowed not to leave the road till the drivers buy 3 new tankers , repair the side mirror. And these Hausa guys are not scared. Gosh !!! It reminds me of my northern Life.

Nigerian leaders place no value on her citizens. Bad roads everywhere

A journey that shouldn't take more than 30 mins stretch beyond 3hrs due to government's negligence, selfish and unconcerned attitude.

A customer was coming to meet me in Otta from Ijebu, he had to go to ilupeju to sleep in his friend's house after spending more than 4hrs in traffic.

Most times, getting to Ikeja from Otta takes more than 3 hours.

That Xiaomi Powerbank is a token of my appreciation to you, I'm happy you find it useful. I am so happy that i met you online, then offline. I have never registered to vote but if you ever come out to contest for a Federal office. My vote is yours and I will stay committed to your course.

Just get home safely, clean up, eat a meal, take your medications and have a good rest, at least that you can do for yourself

Take care bro, a new day brings renewed hope ......

The billions spent on TAN rallies will completely fix that road but gej's re-ellection is more important than the lives of ordinary Nigerians who ply that road.

Hmmmm. Am seeing things. You know if she sees this you in soup.

The road in my opinion is not as bad as the Kogi -okene lokoja road. That's the worst road ever. I followed there during the raining season and it was something else.

For me I am confuse here if Jonathan is the problem or The minister of Works. Cause I heard the minister and Radio political analyst said the contract have been awarded. Or may be this is another case of corruption. Don't get me wrong am not PRO-PDP am a Progressive.

So sorry. I can understand you believe me if not anyfay for today I can understand you. Especially when it's your private car.

Its not advisable to drive a personal car on that road. I kept on asking if the road was a FEDERAL GOVERMENT ROAD or that of the NIGER- KWARA state Government. And I kept getting a resounding reply its that of the Federal Government. Its just unbelievable. Even the Sagamu road too was hell. In fact I will advise enemy to spend all his life savings flying than waste money plying the route

@op, Thanks for bringing this issue to the fore. But sincerely, I thought you will be able to describe the state of the road to my satisfaction but alas! You only tried. After plying several federal roads in the country in their worst conditions, I can safely conclude that that dungeon is the worst road in the universe.
On Oct. 1 2014, I got to Jebba from Mokwa at exactly 2:00 am and left there on Oct 2, 2014 at exactly 4:00pm. The pitiable state of the road is better imagined than experienced and I wondered, what the motivation behind the TANoids engagement is. I could have been saved from the embarrasing journey but for the incessant lies doled out by FERMA on national tv. They lied and showed beautiful portions of the roads. The same deceit lured me into plyn Papalanto Sagamu road and the journey was so smooth that I lost two tyres to the road.

Jonathan government has outscored previous government in mediocrity, non-performance, propaganda and deceit in the school of sane judgement. His ineptituden is second to none. He should simply quit and register his full presence in Otuoke house of palmwine drinkers. This man is a joke.

I made the same statement some years ago, the road have been in the shape for over 4 years especially the Jebba-ilorin axis, I had to resort to train transportation to minna. The last time I ply the road was July this year and work is ongoing at the Mokwa-Bida axis of the road.
