if it is about who is making more money, it is D'Banj. from the day he interviewed Jonathan, his life has never been the same. he is a political musician. he is a pdp musician. last week, he was at uduaghan's bday party doing his oooooooooooooooooo she. and that means too much money.
but, if we are talking about the music industry, Don Jazzy is Don Jazzy. he is a dorro music. dorro Jazzy.
dbanj is a political entertainer and a very smart politician. he is big and has nothing to do with music.

They are both rich but I think Dbanj makes more noise about his wealth. Don Jazzy also has some other bizness aside from music. I heard about Marvin Oil and there could be some others.

When I was in unec I had Tony Nwoye, Sir emeka offor younger brother nnamdi, former ssg Martin iloh brother etc as a friendso and we have remairemained so... If I ask for anything more than that I am likely to be avoided unless it involves give and take business.


In essence, unless Dbanj has a business that interest those powerful people he remains noțhing but a name dropper

The fact is dat dbanj makes almost all of his achievements public, unlike donjazzy.

Though I expect the beats ambassadorial nomination to be a huge one, but dbanj is dead, musically.


There's no beat ambassadors anywhere. It is one of his hype.

He paid and got a very expensive beat earpiece and he got a tweet welcoming him to the exclusive list of those with the gadget.

While Don Jazzy has since gone ahead to establish and promote his Mavins crew, D'Banj has not really done much with his Lee group. However, he is one artiste from Nigeria whose name is now being sung far and beyond Aftica and Nigeria at this moment. HIS last presentation at TEDxWBG is out of this space and he has done so much for agriculture and on ending poverty.

I think in all fairness, both are great guys doing great things...the only thing people fail to realize is, u can't be on top of ur game all the time especially when there seems to be competition everywhere...People saying dbanj music has suffered...Yes, because people listen to it with a bias nd sentimental mindset of "Rubbish". while on the other hand as a producer don jazzy dishes out music nd it's all over just because of the love...dbanj is trying to get his balance nd one thing I like nd will want every young aspiring youths to emulate is "Never give up" people says he sings rubbish, criticize him with open letters and the likes, he still keep releasing songs nd trying new things to make himself relevant...that's d spirit, we are all human...Nobody is perfect!

Truth be told, almost all Nigerians loved Dbanj, his music was in the lips of both young and old with the intro Don Jazzy again. It seemed like Don jazzy and Banj were inseparable, until the news broke.
Mohits was no more, Dbanj gone his separate ways, so did Don Jazzy. And the question is Dbanj and Don Jazzy who has grown more?
Do we rate them as musicians? who has grown more from that point?
Do we also rate them as businessmen? who has grown more from that angle too?
With the way the comments are going already, I will not take sides here (though i know whom i think has grown more). Rather, i will urge us also to be objective in our reasoning.

Seriously, it is only those whose career have nosedived that try their hands in other things. trying your hand in other things doesn't make you great, but succedding with one. Jack of all trade and master of none is not a so good record. How do you expect Messi or C. Ronaldo to start producing garri and selling, when they still have a flourishing career. If Efe sodje went into business early, with the little he made from football, it is not because he is a better business man or more successful than Vincent Enyeama.

Don Jazzy doesn't need any talk show, taking pictures with Bill Gate or selling Garri. He is busy, as he still has a blossoming career in music. When he retires, he can now go into that. For now, let those who have retired or have failed to do well diversify.
