It has been a while since my last update. This is not because there has been no progress, rather that it has been such a busy schedule in the past weeks and I have not seemed to have time to write a post or upload pics. A lot of activities have been happening lately. Here are pictures from Chateau De Brabus.

Kitchen Security Door

I tried searching for something nice in the market and I couldn't find one or maybe let say I couldn't get something I can afford. Then, I opted to designing one for myself.

It costs me N32,000 to build this door.

Locks and Key

The first step to bolster home security starts from the Locks and Keys. The locks and keys is one of the most important component of any security door and I did my best to get the best lock in town for the kitchen door.

Remember, it doesn't have to be overly expensive for it to be right!

Kitchen Glass Door

About a month ago, I went out shopping for doors with a client and saw a nice looking glass double door with a price tag of N2,000,000. Yeah, N2m!

Of course, I cannot afford that now but I need something close. I decided to make one. The work is still in progress but before I get you the pics of the finished Brabus Version of the N2m door. Here's the picture of the N2,000,000 door

I asked my carpenter to produce the smaller version of the door with a wood finish for the kitchen/dining door. Here's what we were able to achieve with Naija locals.

Cost Breakdown

Frame/Architrave - N7,000 (using the best wood in the market)
Door - N10,000 (very solid wood)
Locks and Keys/Hinges - N7,000
Transportation - N1,500

Is it nice at all or do you think it is sheer waste of money?

A Porch that invites!

A comfortable porch seating invites guests outdoors. This is a place where you can watch the world go by.

Who needs an ante room anyway?
