Plz Advice Me On This by ken4jj(m): 12:05am On Nov 16, 2014
Hi guys. i have an issue and i need some advice. plz read. i am an engineer with a multinational manufacturing company. i have worked for 5 years in 2 different multinational manufacturing companies. My problem is that i am not enjoying my job. I work mondays to sundays , so stresful and pressure here n there. It is so bad that i dont have a social life anymore cos i dont have the time. After all the effort one puts on this job, they still call for ya head when there is a mistake. Pleasing these boses becomes a pain in the ass

All this while , i have been envying people who do business no matter how small and i always wish i could be like them. Guys, i earn over 300k yet i dont have peace of mind, rest and hapiness cos of this job. it is so bad that i feel bad when my morning alarm rings. i changed job thinking it would be better ,unfortunately it is even worse. Its done on me that there is no job satisfaction in this environment.

Now,having lived this kind of working life for 5 years without satisfaction, i want to quit to start my own business. i have always wanted to bt leaving a guaranteed 300k plus every month is pulling me back. Now i have decided to go solo. i want to go and learn a skill and build my business around it. i am still thinking of which biz to go into. one thing is sure. I'll prefer to put in this energy i'm currently putting in another man's work into my own biz even if it means making less that what i get now. At least i be my own boss and not trying to please inconsiderate bosses.

Guys, i need your advice on this issue.

Good thinking.

Agriculture is the easiest. Skill is easy to acquire. Returns are ok, ceteris paribus.
Since you are an engineer. A workshop may be good in an industrial environment. I know some people who are making it in that field. Initial outlay on lathe/ drilling/ facing/ machines and tools as well as a capable generator may be a little high though.

I would advise that you make sure that you are set up and making profit before you resign from work.

Thanks for your advice. The problem is setting up something while working will be difficult cos of time.
