I always wonder whenever I see my Yaruba friends greeting one another. For example, e ku aaro o, e ku ise o, e ku irole o. I then wonder do they want themselves dead. This is unlike the oyinbos that always see good in their greeting, good morning, good night and so on. Yaruba Nairalanders, over to you.

cheesy ....'e ku ....' is different from 'o ku.......' or 'i ku ......'

1. e ku ...... literally means recognizing people's effort, relaxation in wait of something or someone

2. o ku ......literally means a dead body, or anything without life in it (noun)

3. i ku ......literally means death (adjective or pronoun sef)
