But den again you got some ppl's blood pumping again, could u pls turn around and bend over, i wanna kiss a.$.$ undecided

When Dplacement "stumbled" on the non-public domain info, he had a choice - reveal and be (possibly made) traceable and ruin the "integrity" of the process or stay mum and let time run its course. Was his decision to reveal tht something was up in this gt14 the right one? Maybe, maybe not but doesn't that depend on how much his revelation or lack of affects you? Now upon giving his "insight", we had the option to respond in a variety of ways and also not to respond at all. Some thanked him for furnishing this thread wv some pseudo-revelation (how I see it), some faulted his lack of trying ('if you wanna say smthn then say it not coming here to give vague stuff, right?'), some others faulted those who thanked him calling them "a$$kissers". He's done what he's done, that's past but if you're displeased by what he did, shouldn't you be asking yourself WHY? Let's be honest, all he's ever posted like he rightly said is what anyone tht can scour the internet properly can put together. Look at the GT2007 group, who was their "Dplacement"? No one. And they all moved with the process, learning and practicing and sharing as they could. Some didn't even know what to expect at each stage, some didn't even know what Assessment centers were all about even when they got their invite packets. Forgive my drifting but an ungrateful person can be bearable but what's most ugly to behold is one who unashamedly displays his ingratitude in public. If what Dplacement posted doesn't go well with you and in fact you're a bit pissed coz u see it as him maybe dangling a piece of bread before you n making u battle over crumbs, it's your right to feel that way but as adults who I believe have come to some intelligence wouldn't it be right to recognize that there may be others that do not feel as you do? Why brand others that welcomed his post 'a$$kissers'? I don't get it.
Am I defending him? Heck no, he doesn't need it . Am I trying to censor what ppl say in their posts? Definitely not. What I just wanna get across is, if you can't respect diversity of opinions regarding a matter and can easily resort to name calling then your case is a really sad one. Let's grow up, please.

Shalom.

Boggy, The second thing you should ask is if this epistle made sense?

Yes it did and its very necessary. We have become very ungrateful for a deed he is not obliged to do.

With the ongoing bitterness pertaining to his refusal to divulge these particular dates, I think most of us hold dear his information. Why get angry and lambast him if not for the fact that you aint getting fed with info as desired?

What happen 2 d 'every1 is entitled 2 his own opinion' notion u r trying 2 advocate here and still yet contradicting it by beefing those who criticised the 'almighty dplacement'. Or are u one of dplacement loyal disciples? Now in a bid 2 air my own opinion like una talk, dplacement should stop teasing expectant ppl on ds thread, and like Scarletdp rightly said, the info he so stumbled upon definitely v no effect hw d entire recruitment ll go down. And lastly, I recommend if dplacement pull such stunt again, u guys shouldn't dignify his post wit all d much pondering, calculations and beefing as it is obviously tearing the house apart. Lastly, anybody that don't like my post should pls feel free 2 sue me #peace

Some of you will act like you dont really care, but those are the ones that spend 21hrs of their day on here scouring for any info they can get. WTF is your business if people are kissing ass? is it your mouth they are using to kiss the ass? I dont understand how the way others react to info Dplacement drops here affects you. It's really pathetic I must say. If you really dont care about whatever info is dropped here, than stay off NL and when the invites drop, go for your interview and do what you gotta do. Shikena! Sorry ass people.

Honestly, I don't see any reason why peeps should be grateful to someone for giving an info that is already ''in the public domain'' or worse still "vague info". Am I the only one here seeing this?
Well, having said that, I can only remove hairdress tongue for one person here. The person that revealed the accurate number of peeps that passed the first test. The person even went further to break it down into different fields of study. Unfortunately, all these happened before NL was hacked, and noone seems to remember the person's moniker.

Tochiddy nwanne, I don't attack those who criticize him, and he isn't above criticism. Everyone is actually entitled to his opinion, both of us are, likewise every other person. Disagreements like this foster proper understanding, so am enjoying the development.

The fact here is that most of us claim or feel that his info weren't relevant since it was in the public domain, yet none of these peeps came on here to share them with us. I truly admire the selfless attitude of Dplacement, I am a staunch beneficiary.

Segunmike, strengths are discovered in the ability to overcome issues like this. We are still stronger than before.

I think I understand the whole issue here. Lemme break it down:

1. The wait (particularly after the SHL success mail) has been too long so understandably peeps are getting frustrated, especially the unemployed and underemployed. Some have even been planning how to spend the "blood money" (I remember the 2007 guy that went to price a flat in VI straight after AC).

2. There are various rumours flying around concerning dates from Jan 2015 to March 2015 and even later, and no one knows which to believe or whether to believe any at all as everyone keeps mentioning they got the info from their "sauce", which is the peak of vagueness.

3. The only person whose info has consistently checked out and who most of us believe (some even say they know for a fact) is "affiliated" with NLNG and as such is capable of giving us definitive info concerning dates came and started saying something about the dates but, for reasons most people would understand, ended up saying nothing.

Put these three together and some people are bound to get annoyed.

Now, oga Dplacement, I have always defended your actions on this thread (Seun is my witness) for the simple reason that candidates don't normally get to have someone on the inside feeding them with genuine info at such an "open-source" scale as this thread --and NL, and the internet-- allows. However, because of the state of frenzy that some of our minds are in at the moment (due to points 1&2), I have to say, you really should have given us either all or none of the information.

And err...guys, chill abeg. Save all the debating for when we'll be designing train 8.

Q4 2014 is no longer happening. Most of you have already figured that out already.

Now think, when is the earliest possible time to hold an Assessment Centre that will not be interrupted by the Yuletide, New Year Celebrations or Elections.

There you have your possible date frame for the Assessment Centre.

so this thread is still alive grin.... close the fcking thread . Anything that has a Nigerian parastatal in it dont work the way it should . Companies in the energy sector whose recruitment process started after this NLNG have even forgotten there was any recuiting done this year . My friend will resume in shell nextmonth , a job whose advert was publicised just last month. This company is a fcked one really . No messages to even give one assurance , who does this kind of recruiting process these days . Well , dplacement has failed , he said earlier this would take 15 months now its gonna take about 30 months. Whats the hope ? IF another government takes over , it may be another story . We are not even sure there will bea transition with the parellel govt threat . I don tire jooo. Dplacement if you cannot give any concrete info you feel is in the public domain and if your company cannot have a good HR that keeps candidates upto date . Pls dont come raise tensions. Btw , am begining to think you are a secretary considering your posts , thats makes no differene tho . I blame it on unemployement and delays in other NLNG projects.

We have a valid template from the 2007 recruitment (’07 was also an election year), AC was conducted between June – August i.e. after the inauguration of the president.
As for Dplacement, there’s a striking similarity with Arsene Wenger, where after a few good infos and subsequent chain of misinfos, several hopefuls keep clinging to past glories and thus refuse to see reason.
The funny part is when folks start trying to interpret the non-info and even fight about it. Classic.
As I have said numerous times, any info worth giving is worth giving well.

So going by Shell's standard of two days duration of AC per group of candidates i.e. 3 ACs per week (assuming Saturdays are included), say a max. of 10 candidates per group, about 300 candidates in total, that gives a total of 10 weeks. So there you have it. AC is going to be held from March to May 2015, after the peaceful elections in February.
