Talking about Aang vs Korra.

Aang was better, no doubt! He's like an ajepako kid, he had to struggle for everything, from elements to love and in the end he got it right.

Unlike Korra, who is more or less an ajebutter kid, she had and still has everything at her disposal talk of civilization, talk of teachers, talk of bending infant Korra mastered all four elements + avatar state in on season. Even with all these, she still fumbles.


The only way Korra is better is because she faces more dangerous enemies than Aang.

that's the problem `mate . good isn't enough against azula .catching general iroh unaware says everything about her . Aang is my favourite as well but korra offers more with the on-going series and outstanding characters.

Zuko's daughter and Azula look so identical.

avatar roku use half of his life training to be the avatar which took him years to do and he came back as a fully realised avatar u cnt compare him to korra and aang. He is a perfect avatar to beat sozin, ozai, amon and unilaq. Aang was still training when he defeat the firelord with the help of the lion turtle. Bt korra was nt fully trained, she let the avatar stuff get into her head.

No on pushes Korra around. She will face down anybody friend or foe. Yes she gets her butt beat sometimes, but that girl can take just as much as she gives out and she gives a hell of a lot!

When Aang faced the fire nation, his opponent did not study him. Ozai wanted to kill the avatar by brute force, so when Aang went into avatar state Ozai was defeated, boring... (the fight was awesome)

Korra's opponents were all smart intelligent enlightened pple. Avatar state did not intimidate them they were ready for it. Korra over came, she is AWESOME!

u'r right. The avatar state is a combination of all the past avatar. Aang only had roku whose he seek help from, bt korra does things her way, she dnt seek Aang's help.

Korra greatest mistakd was when she used water bending in fight water bender. She use water to hold her water bender opponent, wht the heck is she thinking?

Ok, Korra is a hot head. She rushes into action and gets beat. Aang didn't do that, that's cool. They have different ways of getting where they are going.

The avatar state is powerful but not unstoppable. I already explained that, Amon, Unalac, Zaheer proved that you can come very close to beating even killing the avatar. Korra hadn't mastered avatar state the first time she faced Amon, he took her bending which unlocked avatar state for her. Unalac fused with vatu, a spirit filled with hate. Korra needed to grow spiritually to boost her avatar power, Unalac had the advantage there and without the avatar state Korra could died with the poison in her.

TLAB was short, not much character development. 3books centred around stopping Ozai. TLK is more explanatory, each book independent yet a continuation and reference to the other.

I will be sorry to see TLK end. I hope Nike pickup another instalment.

avatar dnt just go into the avatar state only when the fight is getting out of hand. Because if they are killed in the avatar state the avatar will seize to exist.

I like your assessment of the avatar state. This is what we were made to see and believe in TLAB and this what TLK is correcting.
The avatar state is not almighty, it can be defeated.

They always need to go into the avatar state when fighting powerful opponents, so it's probably less risky to get it over with and end things quickly. Nobody has ever been able to fight toe to toe with an avatar in the avatar state; not to mention defeating them, so the risk of being killed in that state is zero. Except when Korra was poisoned, which would not have happened if she had started with the avatar state. Honestly, I think this series which is awesome would be even better if there was no avatar state and avatars had to rely on their brains.

thats Korra's fault she does everything her way, if she can't beat anybody she would have seek help from Aang. Even her anger can trigger the avatar state.
