Hello Nlanders, my window 8 laptop sucks my data alot.for this January alone i have spent over 6k for only data.funny enough i don't download neither do i open pictures nor watch movies. i only read news and do some research. someone should help me on how to turn off the apps update. Nothing for now You either go back to Windows 7 or you wait for Windows 10 |

Go to control panel or settings then find and turn off auto windows update. |

win8 has lots of updates....tile updates,stupid stupid updates Damn,it drove me crazy back then , just had degrade to win7 ultimate ASAP |
